No offense but I’m assuming you’re a baseball fan. Do you really need to see what their names are to know who they are? I can’t remember the last time I had to refer to the name in the box score to know who is up. Just look at the card.
More to the point, I didn’t even notice that they had changed it until I read these posts. If this really ruins it for you, that’s like saying the hot girl you were with was ruined because she was wearing blue and not yellow:

Just played an Event game and every single one of my opponent's players were Incognito cards.
Now I don't mind them using the "shiny new toys". But when I'm hitting, or pitching, against someone; I like to know whom I'm facing. I don't want to face Titz McGee, Dudley Dooright, Richard Cranium, or even Seymour Butts.
Especially playing online. That being said; I'm done with online play for the year. I'll continue to play vs the CPU; as I have to much time, and money, invested into this game to just walk away.
But if this game doesn't revert back to a baseball game and not a cartoon; this will be my last season.
Next thing you know they'll end up putting trap door and springboards on the field.
Such a shame that this title doesn't have any competition.

In my most recent RS game, between innings, the ticker would say "Coming up to bat, , , ". You guessed it. My entire team is Incognito (for the TA2 points). Ugh.

Why is it always that someone who disagrees is a shill? Some of you guys act like SDS is an ex who cheated on you with your dad. They are nicknames. If that is really what’s bothering you in this life, congrats…you’re doin alright.
That said- who ever thought of Kestdaddy as a nickname is either hilarious or really dumb. I can’t decide.

Nope...their true identity is concealed. For this season, the players in this series have concealed their true identity and assumed a new one. Hence the term....wait for it....INCOGNITO.

This games pure trash. Face the same 99 pitchers every single game and all runs are scored on home runs. Dumbest version of the game I’ve ever played by far and never buying another one unless they change this [censored]. Playing a home run derby against the same cards every game gets really boring really fast

It is a cheap and easy way to dismiss someone else's opinion. They don't realize that it has become cliché and shows a lack of imagination and a failure to actually engage in reasonable discussions.
As far as this topic goes....
I am not the biggest fan of the nicknames, mainly because I don't know, nor have I even heard of like 95% of them. That said, it does not ruin the game for me.
Oh and the fact that you can't even search for them on the marketplace by their real names.
