Hey SDS any chance you would make Ranked Seasons 5 innings?

5 innings is considered an official game in MLB and a 9 inning video game is way too long with as much as there is to do in life in my humble opinion and 3 innings seems a tad short. Just a thought. Thanks.

mate i know you are going to get absolutely roasted on this forum for this post lol - but that is not my goal here - my take is that your idea is horrible, i personally would never want to play a 5 inning game - and anyone who has ever played the real game would feel the same way - if you find 9 innings too long then maybe this isn't the type of game for you

As I recall a big reason SDS introduced events is to provide shorter games to the community. If anything, they could change BR or Events to be a little longer but less than 9 innings, or just create a new game mode somewhere in between 3 and 9 innings, but the last thing they should do is drop RS from 9 innings.

My opinion is there are not near enough nine inning modes in this game. It is either RS or vs CPU. I had always wanted a season mode for offline play and then they introduced Mini Seasons...which is great, but they took away Extra Innings and replaced it with another three inning mode. I would love something similar to BR for nine inning play and/or something like mini seasons with a nine inning option. I wish with mini seasons you could just pick if you wanted three or nine inning games. Maybe less games in a season if you choose that option.

Definately no.
A nine inning RS game can be a mental grind, but that is what makes the challenge more satifying when you win.
I only played around 60 RS games last year, but you can play Events or BR if 9 innings is too much.RS is tinkered with enough with the various pitch speeds, huge PCIs, and multiple divisions.
I wish RS was at HOF throughout. -
Event games sometimes are 6 innings with quick counts which I always liked. As someone else mentioned prepare the roast. Also starting pitchers would become useless. Even with 9 inning games they don’t last for more then 45 mins and that’s really pushing it. If you’re that time constrained you could just play 2 br or event games

I mean it would be cool if they added Little League World Series Game or something but Ranked has to be 9 innings... it's the only DD game mode besides Play vs CPU that is 9 innings.... if you want a 5 inning game in Diamond Dynasty just request a new game mode... Ranked going to 5 innings would be a disaster.

No... but put the Little League World Series Stadium (or the stadium that the MLB teams play in that weekend) and the uniforms in the game if they can get the "Little League" Rights.

You really ought to broaden your horizons and realize you’re in the minority here. The “global” community wants RS to remain a nine inning affair.

I'm with you on that; an offline DD season or tournament with 9 inning games would be great. They could transfer the 3 inning MS experience to Conquest (have a repeatable map with MS teams instead of MLB teams) and make MS a 9 inning thing. I don't even care about rewards, maybe a 25 pack bundle for all I care; I'd just use it to go against other DD teams and grind missions.

While I wouldnt want them to outright change ranked season from 9 Innings to 5 innings, I dont see any downside to having a seperate queue within ranked seasons for people to play a shorter 5 inning game. Might actually get me to play a non coop ranked season game this year.
