Chances are you will spend more buying packs looking for diamonds then actually buying the player off the market. David Justice is going for 55k and Walter Johnson for 50k. Unless packs are free (conquest, programs) then they are never worth it.

Think about it like this. You’re going to spend 5x7500 or 40k to get the guy from that pack and then when you don’t it will cost you that much over to buy him outright.

All these guys telling you not to buy packs are so shortsighted. The next pack could definitely have 4 trouts. That would be enough to finish off the LS and set you up with a fat bankroll for the rest of the game. You’re going to pass that up?? Your choice man…

Right! It's been statistically proven that most packs include one diamond or more. I personally have pulled LS Trout 8 times, LS Ohtani 6 and LS Mookie 14. Plus it's rare to not get the diamond reward from Diamond Duo packs. Never leave any stubs idly sitting by earning nothing. It's why I take all my cash and buy NFTs and Bed, Bath and Beyond stock.

Well ive bought maybe 4 or 5 packs total no diamonds. Few free packs, dont remember gettin any diamonds out of em either

Buying Packs is almost never worth it. At this point I find a card, and just grind until I can afford it.
I do the same thing, i've been trying to get 2 expensive players a day for the past week, yesterday it was Feller and Jenkins, today its probably going to be Sheffield and either Gagne or Walter Johnson.

O well then, congrats for you bud. That almost beats my 9 Trouts, 12 Judges, 7 Verlanders, and 3 Ohtani's lol.

Packs in general are not worth it but if you enjoy it then just do it. I enjoy playing the game but I also enjoy ripping packs for the serotonin hit. I have opened over 3,300 packs, on $0 spent, according to the website and my best Live series hit was Max Scherzer. Now not all of those were base packs but probably 90%+ were. That shows you how truly terrible the odds are but I don't care. Could you beat the odds and pull a couple Trouts? Maybe or maybe you'll do worse. I guess what I am saying is just take the game in how you want to and do what gives you the most enjoyment.

I think I pull Trout and Ohtani about 5x each last year but it was when their sell value was down to like 15k

Given my diamond drop rate this year is 0%, I'm kind of on the "don't buy" team.
In fact I've barely got any golds.
