With 99s out of the gate; they're going to make it close to impossible for offline players to obtain them. Yes, you may be able to get them if they still do the Innings part; but most offline players just buy the cards. And if these are 99s right off the bat; unless people flip like crazy or buy stubs, they'll be unobtainable to offline players. Youre telling me that someone is going to list one for less than 1M stubs?
Also, does this mean that all cards, except for LS cards, will be Set relelated?
And what happens after Set 3 is over; can you use any card available?
They may have potentially released two cards that at least half of their fan base can never acquire/use.
This argument is made every single year and it turns out that most players online or offline can get most of the cards obtain from online play.
As a mostly offline player who dabbles in BR. So agree complete. I also don’t think these will have anything to do with RS or any Online mode. These will be a part of the WBC program exactly as you laid out. My guess is the collection reward like Jackie of the 42s or Mauer or the cover athletes.

They won't be end game because they show as Set 1
Set 1 becomes irrelevant at the all-star break unless you use your one wild card spot for one of them.

They are great, but Trea's 87 power isnt end game. Will be amazing early on though.
To be fair, 87 power on a Trea card plays like 100+ on most other cards.

They are great, but Trea's 87 power isnt end game. Will be amazing early on though.
To be fair, 87 power on a Trea card plays like 100+ on most other cards.
His cards do seem to produce more pop than the attributes suggest. This card is similar to his mid season card in 21 just reversed on the splits and that card was a monster. Seemed like everyone used him for a while.

Hahaha, oh man, how many years have you been playing? Did you start later last year to avoid the server mess? I’m excited about it but obviously I’m still newer. I don’t the remember the year that shall not be named or what I’ve heard the best years of 16 and 17 were.
To me, this looks like it could be better than the last two years and for that, I’ll join the rat race.

Hahaha, oh man, how many years have you been playing? Did you start later last year to avoid the server mess? I’m excited about it but obviously I’m still newer. I don’t the remember the year that shall not be named or what I’ve heard the best years of 16 and 17 were.
To me, this looks like it could be better than the last two years and for that, I’ll join the rat race.
i was cleaning out some of my old boxes the other day and found The Show 05 with Sammy Sosa on the cover art - i believe it was ps2 game !!!!
each year i play less and less as i get older and have more other hobbies - but i do love this game..... 2017 was the peak for me as im sure with a few of us old timers in here - but i am also trying to be positive about new change too
