I get the skepticism, but Ance Larmstrong, who has been a pretty reputable content creator for a few years, said he literally saw the commercial as it aired on Comedy Central last night.
I get a fake video showing up on YouTube, but making it to live TV?

Being the skeptic that I am, I can't help but wonder how they would botch such a big reveal where they accidentally show them in a TV commercial before officially announcing them. And then I remember this is SDS and it all makes sense again.

I think its legitimate. I'm guessing what happened is that SDS was going to make that reveal anyway and comedy central aired the commercial earlier than they were supposed to. Anyone is in their right to be skeptical but this looks legit enough to be real. This is awesome, and opens up possibilities some(not me) didn't think were realistic
It's no different than say, a Marvel Trailer leaking early or the entire final 2 seasons of GOT leaking early.

It aired on comedy central? SNL used to make their own commercials back in the 80s and 90s. I'm gonna wait for SDS to say something......
Edit: though Tips did say in the dev tourney that something big was maybe coming this weekend.... Dunno could go either way

This seems like its legit
Also I don't think this happen by mistake, this year's game had had a slow burn of reveals and info that hype has been tampered so dropping a commercial randomly that teases something like McGuire and Sosa with no explanation has generated a bit of a stir.
Maybe instead of looking at someone making a mistake let's consider this being intentional done

My belief too. Show a flash of Sosa/McGwire w/o explanation to let the community generate the hype.

Last year a commercial with randy was removed because it showed him. Funny how it was just one person who saw this commercial, then all the sudden it’s all over twitter and reditt. If it happens cool, but I think it’s a troll job

I still have doubts but if it is true then McGwire coming in as Pujols goes out will be a nice replacement for Cardinal Fans, plus they can give him an A's version to help out the flashbacks for that team.
I still want Ted Simmons as a Cardinals catcher though to replace Molina.

I’m pumped of this is true, and it looks like it is. Opens the door for Bonds, Clemens, etc. I’ve always wanted a Caminiti card, maybe we get it in the future.

Yeah, I am seeing a lot of comments from people expecting this news to open the door for him to now come into the game as well, but don't think most understand that the situation between Bonds and MLB is way more complicated beyond steroids.
