Anyone remember the old missions?

I remember a Pujols crazy mission. Something like 2 homeruns a double and like 6 rbis. I remember seeing someone had hit 3 homeruns instead of the double and failed the mission.

Was it the extreme moments in 20 that made you hit 3 or 4 HRs player locked as Yelich? That was a pain in the [censored]

the Nava mission was 4 hits in 1 gm online.
which looking bk seems totally insane.
to this day i still can't believe I finished that mission -

it was in Extreme, 3 HR with Yelich on HofF & the Gehrig mission was 4 xbh on HofF as well

There’s a massive difference between the old missions and new missions. New missions — you skip to your guy coming up to bat, it takes 5 minutes tops. Old missions — you had to do them over the course of a full 9-inning game, so it took forever. Didn’t get it done? Intentionally walk the CPU until the game is tied in the final inning and then pray you get the third out so that you can go to extras. Painful.

Was it Nava and not Holt?
I remember needing to complete Holt's mission to unlock a really good Utley card. That was a very annoying grind.

18 was my first year playing DD. Those missions were hell.

Looking back at some of those missions ( not the extreme ones, the regular ones) were crazy. You had to play a full 9 inning game that wasn't player locked. I don't know how I got some of the finished!

Edit: yeah, I don't miss those.but I do like some of those big stat missions more than the finish in a game or two ones we have now

I remember back in 17 I think when they gave us a free A Rod rookie at Christmas. You had to get multiple stats with it to get his 99. It was hits, runs, homeruns, walks, stolen bases and other stats.
-
The 17 Miggy Mission was the worst thing they ever cooked up. 4 HRs, 5 RBI, 5 Runs, and a walk and it had to be done vs the CPU. The Griffey 3 Hits and a HR in an online game was bad that year too but I have no shame that I boosted that. Vida Blue 26? Online complete games too

Missions were fun as hell. Restarting a moment 10 times is extremely boring, but I suppose it’s only been three straight years of being forced to do that. Hopefully they keep asking if I can get two hits in 4 at bats 93 times again this year.

Can’t wait for 300 more moments this year!

Those were easy. Miggy 4 home run game in 17 was tough. And Daniel Nava ring a bell?
I think when MLB The Show 20 came out I finally completed the Nava mission. That mission was a pain in the [censored].
