They haven't announced it yet have they thought it would be after the storylines stream
No because they hate us. But I made one up and am hoping they go with it.
-
Tuesday- Gameplay- all the things that didn’t work. They do now.
-
Thursday- New Cards- we’ve decided to spend more on players- introducing Barry, Roger, Ty, Jose, Sammy, Manny, Alex, Shoeless Joe, Charlie Hustle, Carlos, and all the other players your grandfather won’t put in the the HoF.
-
The Following Tuesday- Team Affinity- it’s back and better than ever. And there’s a new one every month.
-
Week after Friday- Franchise- whatever it is you all want, we added it and then some.
-
Saturday in March- Co-op- not the video game, you can actually play on the Astros, Phillies etc this year.
-
One month from now- you get a car, you get a car, you get a car.
Sorry, work is boring today.
Since you brought it up! Is it fair to Aaron Judge and others who beat records the right way to allow Barry, Sammy and all the others you mentioned into HOF when they did it with enhancement drugs? I have to say thank god for the grandfathers for having common sense!
Better than letting the generation who got trophies just for participating making the decision. If it was left up to them the HOF would turn irrelevant if left up to them.
Haha, nah I just thought it was a great summation for that list of guys and the likely reason they aren’t in the video game. My feelings on the Hall are mixed. I 100% agree with you on the participation aspect. It’s the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Very good. So in that respect, yes….there needs to be a higher criteria.
On the other hand, it’s the grandfathers who abstain from voting unanimously for Gwynn, Ripken, Griffey etc. for some archaic notion that nobody should get in unanimously because Babe didn’t or whatever other reason they bandy about.
As for the Roids, I’m a little indifferent. Judge isn’t gonna make the Hall of Fame for a few historic years. He’ll need a lot more. Barry and Roger were better than any player on the field and deserve to have a plaque. Did they cheat? Yes. Do I care? No…everyone (more or less) was cheating. The owners and managers were encouraging it (I.e. Tony LaRussa giving the Bash brothers total privacy to “encourage” the other behind closed doors. That doesn’t make it right, but I’m not gonna engage in the morality Olympics.
Lastly- my grandfather used to yell “two hands” every time a player would showboat catching a fly. I have a special place in my heart for that.
Well i won't say Judge won't make it in on a few years of accomplishments. Beating a HR record that stood for however many years it stood puts a feather in his hat that would make them consider it every year.
Well i'm from a different cut of the cloth. I am not indifferent, wrong is wrong and right is right there is no in between. As far as everyone was doing it still does not make it ok.
A true HOF'er when i think of HOF 1 word that i think of is integrity. And if you are doing something just b/c someone else is doing it without thinking about who/what that decision might be affecting to me that shows lack of integrity.
The guys who failed a drug test or left a paper trail were the stupid ones. The majority of the big leagues were on the juice.
Do you think the players that got popped were the only ones doing it? I can guarantee there were plenty of people juicing that didn't get caught.
I watched all the players blow up in front of our eyes and many didn't put up monster numbers.
I'm sure plenty refused to take them due to their own beliefs, but when contracts started going into the millions it changed the game.
MLB knew all about it and raked in the money. Now the players who made them all that money are the bad guys.
As far as I know Sammy didn't fail a test or have his name somewhere in a Balco lab, but of course it was obvious he was using.
As far as I'm concerned Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Clemens, etc all deserve to be in. Just my 2 cents.
You can spin it however you want but fact remains Judge did it without and these guys were and they didn't do as good as Judge. So imo they made thier bed they can lay in it. To me it's a slap in the face to the ones wo did it right and you can't convince me otherwise.

You sound silly. So if a guy is linked steroids he can't be better than someone who didn't take them?
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemons, Manny Ramirez, David Oriz, Andy Petite, Gary Sheffield, Eric Gange, Troy Glaus, Wally Joyner, David Justice, Maglio Ordonez, Raphael Palmeiro, Brian Roberts, Arod, Pudge, Benito Santiago, Mo Vaughn and many, many more are all linked to steroids.
Like I said. You sound silly. Many of those names are still great without steroids

Those are YOUR words. What do they mean if not that steroid users weren't as good as non steroid users.
Comprehend that for me

Americans playing Americas game who happen to be minorities. Both can be true. Also the argument that a guy is instantly better than someone because they didn’t use steroids is just dumb. Bonds was better than Judge as a hitter period, would’ve been without steroids but unfortunately we will never know because he used them. Anyone that watched Bonds it was obvious how good he was, steroids might help with your strength but it’s not gonna increase your eyes or reflexes or ability to put the bat on the ball.

With all due respect, that is a contradiction. You can't say Bonds was better than Judge, and then say "wouldv'e been without steroids but we will never know?" So it is your Opinion basically.
I don't believe i ever said Judge was instantly better than anyone anyway, my arguement was he and others that didn't use deserves to be in the HOF if they stay on the same path they are on before any of those steroid users are inducted because they accomplished the feat without juice.

It’s not contradictory, it was clear Bonds had better vision and bat to ball skills. He was a better hitter. All I was trying to say is we will never know what his HR numbers would’ve been without steroids but the guy was a dangerous hitter regardless and would’ve had a great career even without the juice. Judge is amazing and I think anyone that was caught for steroids should have a mark against them but some guys are just clear HOFers and Bonds is one of them.

Listen i hear you. I had the luxury of watching Bonds play. I was in the military stationed with Bonds roommate with Pirates, i've met him he is a great guy. But he chose a path in life it was the wrong path and that has consequences it's unfortunate but still a reality. And i will say one more thing, if he was so good naturally why get on juice in the first place?

There are millions of reasons. Doesn’t make any of them good reasons but it’s not hard to understand how someone, even someone who is the best at something feels overwhelming pressure to be even better.

This argument has been pretty well documented. Bonds saw the publicity (and endorsements and revenue and contracts) that McGwire and Sosa got for hitting dingers even as he was a better overall player. So he decided if that was what sold, he was going to sell it even more.

But he chose a path in life it was the wrong path ad that has consequences it's unfortunate but still a reality. And i will say one more thing, if he was so good naturally why get on juice in the first place?
There are millions of reasons. Doesn’t make any of them good reasons but it’s not hard to understand how someone, even someone who is the best at something feels overwhelming pressure to be even better.
And that is where my comment about integrity i mentioned earlier comes into play. You can't go through life making desicions about things just willy nilly without thinking about what impact it will have and then question it after you have done it. You have to be content with the outcome b/c you made the decision of said path.

I swear the reading comprehension on this forum is the worst i have ever seen. Must be a bunch of teens and early 20's dope smokers on here.
Add in a bunch of red hat grandpas who love to watch minorities play ball

You’re minimizing it too much. I’m not trying to put words in your mouth but it sounds like you think he just woke up one day out of the blue and decided screw it im doing steroids. Like SaveFarris said, he saw the other lesser players making more money and probably thought about his family and his financial future on top of some of it probably selfishly wanting to be the best. Not every decision is black and white.

No i do not think he just woke up one day and just started juicing. Which also proves my point even more. How long was he juicing? Therefore was he really that good to begin with? It doesn't matter juicing is cheating and no type of cheating should ever be allowed or rewarded that is my stance take it however you want. I just feel strong about this type of thing in all sports.

Look man, the only reason I care is because of how hypocritical the league is. If the league wasn’t basically encouraging cheating then I would have no problem with them dropping the hammer now but it’s pretty hypocritical to turn a blind eye and rake in the money and then years later try to take these guys over the coals and make them out to be the bad guys. League should’ve stepped in during the Sosa McGwire HR race if they really cared about steroids.
