I agree, but we still have two trailers to see if there may be some surprises.
Josh Gibson being included would of course be incredible, but I don't think it necessarily makes or breaks the appeal/significance of this featured program especially if there are plans to build upon it in future installments. Always need to leave them wanting more.

He is a big omission for sure. Assuming that the rights to all of these players are also done on an individual basis just like the MLB Legends, I wonder if there were issues acquiring his likeness? Were they unable to make contact with his estate or was there maybe just no interest on their end? Not trying to give SDS any excuses, but some of these things may be out of their control.

Cool Papa Bell, Satch, Josh Gibson (argueably the best player of the 1st half of the 20th Century), are way overdo.
Just wish they could have added them as Legends instead of making it a race thing, but I get it-- even if it's simply a history lesson for younger players. -

I just googled the best negro leaguers … there is lots of seasons for lots of awesome players. We will not get all of them (because maybe it is stupid to release everyone this year?), maybe no Gibson, maybe no Buck Leonard nor Cool Papa Bell, Oscar Charleston etc … there are 37 Negro League Hall of Famers … and I am looking forward to lots of them (when we get them)

I think it's more likely they hold on to him for next year's reveal, since they already said they're gonna release players per season (game cycle). Gotta have something to look forward to in those programs next year and beyond, right? -

I understand that point - and I'm not trying to compare the two based on merit or significance - but didn't they wait until midway through the game cycle to drop Honus Wagner in The Show 19?
Again, we have two trailers still to come so we may get some more reveals. They always drop that one BIG name after the trailer is over so let's wait and see.
Also, regarding how they will play out this program or mode, I thought the Jackie Robinson feature from The Show 20 was awesome! It was like an extended evolution program where you unlock their bronze/silver/gold/diamond versions as you advance. Since there are a lot more players involved I wouldn't expect it to be nearly as lengthy, but the evolution progression is fun as you slowly aquire the best cards of that specific player.

Josh Gibson is definitely someone I'm looking forward to... and yes I definitely feel like we'll see him as well as potentially Larry Doby in a later season of Negro Leagues.

That is a good point. The examples I mentioned, we know we’ll get them eventually and will start will rookie versions, you’d think they’d advertise Gibson the same way. Well, I hope they do add him but this is a good start.
