So you don't play for fun? For me moments are a useless time sink, and showdowns are ok, but I only play the ones where I have to.
For those of us who will never be strong hitters online SDS can put a crow bar in their wallet and spend a little cash to work on areas other than DD, which is basically a bad baseball experience that combines the greed of EA Sports loot boxes and the horribly unrealistic play of Triple Play Baseball (also from EA).
Hey, I get it, I need to become a better hitter, but online is filled with so many toxic players that even when I win, which isn't all that often it feels like a chore.
To quote Tom Selleck from the movie Mr. Baseball "Baseball's a game. Games are supposed to be fun." From what I see on these boards the game is only fun for a small percentage of the people.

The thing is there are thousands of ways to make it fun yourself without being online . At some point you gotta learn to change your own diaper son .Google pampers might help.

This is my second year playing the game, and I only play offline. Last year I hated the moments and the player programs because I wasn't very good at hitting. But I was having fun because I enjoy baseball games and I love a challenge. I kept playing, and now I look forward to the moments and the "other programs". I still love the game and play it whenever I can. But by all means, if you're not having fun, don't play it. It's just a game.

I don’t play online and I have fun (or I wouldn’t bother buying the game). Play Franchise, mini-seasons, or RTTS. I just finished the headliners' program without doing the moments, collection, or showdown. There are lots of ways to have fun with this game without having to play someone with a heartbeat.
-
moments get boring, but you can play vs CPU, do mini seasons or conquest and finish the programs. You don't have to play online. Whats more fun than playing at Coors or a custom stadium and blasting the Pirates for 34 runs?
-
Offline is considerably more fun than online play in its current state. There isn't a single program you absolutely need showdown for to complete I don't believe. Unless you are talking about the featured program, in which case the last 1/4 of those programs are just filler anyway
-
Also You don't need to complete the main programs all the way until the end, Just to the last of he boss packs.
Shoot, you can even play RTTS and earn XP, especially during double XP periods.
-
offline player for last 6 years - i have fun offline - lot of content last 2 years

Im addicted to DD and I play online Lgs and rated too I love the entire game overall and I’ve never made one micro transactions for Stubbs or anything all Grind!! Go play 2k golf. Or something
-
I have a ton of fun with this game and I don't play online, but would like to see something done about being able to get some of these cards that are only on line play like in battle royal, events and ranked season and maybe placing then in the mini season program for offline players, so that we are able to collect these very hard to get bronze, sliver and gold cards that are needed to complete our collections and unlock the Mantle and Rollins cards. Just a thing to maybe consider.
-
I build my DD team using nothing but no-sell cards. Iplay franchise most of the time.
-
I think they need to spend a little more time on franchise and less time on DD. I never play online. I’m not good enough for the online crew. But still have fun playing offline franchise mode. But please SDS, go back to last year’s commentary and audio last names. How is it they took out names like Fisk, Yastrzemski, Petrocelli, Doerr, Boudreau, Durocher, etc etc.
-
The money is in DD so their focus isn't going to change. I just hope that they don't ruin DD like EA did with Madden and 2K did with NBA 2K.
