Just a simple question about DD cards
-
How is there no Jeter Bernie or Paul O’Neil cards amongst a lot of others that aren’t in the game (Bonds) like does it come down to Licensing?
-
They don't have the rights. They have to pay to put those players likeness in the game. The reason they don't have rights to a specific player we will never know 100% for sure.
The Yankees though have the most flashback and legend players in the game by an overwhelming number. They have 65 and the next closest is at like 48 and the majority of teams have less than 40. The Royals only have like 20.
The Yankees are a historic franchise so they should probably have the most but not by such a large margin. Before SDS spends more of their legend budget on even more Yankee players I would hope that they would help out the fans of those teams that had very little content this year in the way of legend players.

Jeter will likely be the cover athlete next year unless he has some kinda bonds clause.
