Hoping for a Pujols 700 HR Program!

His HR Derby Card was clutch getting my Moonshot HR's. Seemed like everything he hit in the air cleared the wall... Course i was playing the Cubs for a lot of those games and they were lazy fly balls that landed in the basket LOL but I'll take them.

This really feels like a missed opportunity. I am so Hot and cold with this year's game (I'm mostly referring to content). Sometimes I think they hit a home run with the new format and sometimes I feel like it could be so much more.
Most of us will never see another player get to 700 Home Runs. Last year Miggy got a program for 500. Scherzer got one for 3,000 and they were well deserved. But this is has happened 4 times in history. Please give the guy his own program.
I know some people with say it's free don't complain and yeah, I'm stoked for a free card. But I'd prefer to have to earn it and enjoy the content along the way.

Are you serious? His Awards swing is the trash one.
His LS/HRD swing is sooo smooth.

Very good question. Pujols in general deserves one and you could even expand that out to the whole team, or at least the three elder statesmen who have all written their names at the top of several records.
Pujols - 700 HRs

Molina/Wainwright - Most Wins as a battery in MLB history

I don't buy the "time" excuse. This is the type of milestone you have a contingency for even if it is a long shot.

Having to get PXP with cardinal players in order to get a maxed out Pujols. That is the one program I would gladly accept without complaint so of course they are not doing that.
With a whole 22 years worth of highlights to choose moments from it seems a bit lazy to just throw it in the shop.
But's it's free and I want the card so I won't complain. The only downside is that ROY Pujols was probably going to be my first P5 ever and now I start fresh. I may never get a P5.
At least were not having to exchange bobble heads and jerseys you can’t actually wear in game.
But I agree, it’s not like this record snuck up on them….some mention of it at start with achieving it being a long shot, but after AS break becoming more and more likely. I’m no programmer by any means, but some moments, some stat missions, etc all seem like it could have been prepared in expectation of the milestone.

Unlike Miggy and Max they knew they would be back so is there something else cooking that was pre planned and this is just a cherry on top?
If not then big miss but I will let time play out before I fully commit to missed opportunity

I hope he's right and there is a Pujols program but usually their card is tied to that program. If today's attributes are through the roof we can assume there will be no program. While some of us would welcome content even without his 99 as the ultimate reward, it would seem very off to have a player program without the player's card at the end.

Like I said, the only excuse I could see that makes sense. I agree this should be tied to a program of some nature but I am usually willing to be positive so I'll hold judgements for a bit.

Just saw the card art, very good looking. Going to open the pack on console, just so I can see gold lights for myself. Likely the only time it will happen.
