Earth, but comes up short amongst other top Planets.

Personally i am very disappointed with the sales numbers from mars and jupiter.really thought it would do much better

I mean with the gravity on mars the teams there are hitting 3000 foot bombs, they look at us and think we are pathetic

Per NPD data, MLB The Show 22 is the 6th best selling video game…ON EARTH this year.

It dropped from 6 to 9 in the monthly rankings in August.

I think this is important to keep in mind as many of the folks who feel passionate about this game - like myself - look for changes.

Schnauzer really nailed it in a recent post - this game is so big that the idea that they would would take such a massive revenue stream to accommodate a niche - albeit passionate - base, doesn’t make sense.

Feel free to call me whatever you want but if your job is to drive revenue for such a HUGE revenue stream (hundreds of millions?) then how else can you attempt to meet your goals but to appeal to the masses? (Read: Pick up the game and hit home runs in 15 minutes?).

That is why this game will never change for the better. All it will be every year from now on is horrible and unrealistic gameplay with lots of new cards and content. They should really rename the game to MLB The Card Collecting Game.

I never thought I would say something like this but here's to EA making a baseball game!

This essentially is an EA baseball game, an EA baseball game won’t be any different, they are the G.O.A.T.’s of driving revenue with broken gameplay.

Agreed. SDS has followed the EA script. I quit playing Madden because of this and now The Show is the same. At least if it remains on GamePass I won't have to pay for it.

Despite the issues, I still enjoy The Show for the most part. There's just a lot of frustration with it because it could be a much better game.

The Show was actually #3 on Alderaan, but plans to expand the market there blew up in their faces.

How DARE you…..though we should come to expect these type of insensitive remarks, you have certainly elevated this to a whole new level. Think of all those fictional humanoids, aliens, and people that identify as aliens, not to mention all the harmless animals that were senselessly erased by a “laser”.

I shall be sending notices to SDS, Lucasfilm (and all George Lucas subsidiaries), Disney, and PETA requesting that they mount a full scale ban on your online forum presence.

My outrage will not be silenced…..and yes, this is THE most important cause in my life presently.

The game will not be fixed, I understood that and took my talents and my wallet somewhere else. I lurk the forums and as the days go by it’s becoming less frequent. At some point I’ll lose all interest, until I buy a new iteration of MLB The Show.

I will not buy 23 because it’s going to be the same [censored] as this year.

And the year before... and the year before that.. an the year before that and..it goes on and on

It’s been this way since they started giving it away on Xbox. Pretty smart move tbh. Never outside the top 10 but probably the least played in the top 100.

Edit: 85th most played game on Playstation….

I’ll probably wont either, can’t say I’m 100% sure because it’s up to SDS if gameplay improves.

buying the new game is less than going out to the movies

In my situation that’s a date with my wife, go to the movies to watch some superhero or corny film, then take her to a nice restaurant for dinner. Makes me hppy, makes her happy. Get’s me like 1800 papi puntos to spend on gaming… the movies is a good investment 😂😂😂😂

Dude, I spent 60 on food today and it was not even fancy food. I believe spending 70 in a videogame title that would give you at the very minimum 1 month of entertainment it’s a great deal.
