I’m assuming a +10 on power attributes and speed that’s probably all you can really upgrade

He never had great speed so maybe a bit better stealing and speed. Maxed out fielding acrossed the board that way he would be a diamond no matter which spot he went to and probably better vision.

I'm excited about this card. I still love his milestone card, it's been one pf my favorites since release. Hoping they give him more speed and power. I guess as mentioned that's really all they can do.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Seems tough to outdo his other 99.
And a 99 Clemente with juiced power seems almost too good for a free card.
I guess since some don't like his swing, he's not one of the most coveted players, but I think his swing this year is more than solid.

But that's barely better than my P5 Milestone Clemente and would be a bit disappointing.

If all hitting stats don't reach 100 he will be hard to use. I doubt they touch his speed. His Milestone card was really good back in May not so much right now. So they really need to step up the stats on this one and make a card worthy of Clemente. Of course watch them troll us and give us a worse Clemente. Like a 98 that has stats similar to Griffey's.

I meant another 99 Clemente card, if that's what they're doing. They're all fake nonsense, but if they juice his power just to differentiate...it's getting out of hand.

So they juiced his power a bit, gave him 3 more speed. Basically the card that his MS should have been. But I probably paid over a million to get the MS set complete, this one I get for free. Makes sense.

I don't have a problem with it because that Clemente was essentially available day one and that early on in the game cycle a card with those stats gave you a HUGE advantage over most players for quite some time. Meanwhile, this one is coming out at a time when there are already a ton of comparable options - some from just doing simple Topps Now moments and the POTM program - so it really isn't giving anyone an edge. Not everyone has the time to grind these collections so I think it is cool that they found a good way to pay tribute to a legendary player while releasing a fun card that everyone can obtain.

Lol, really? I'm not "upset." But SDS has jumped the shark on 99 cards. At least this one isn't as bad as Ozzie Smith with 99 power. And no, that one doesn't "upset" me either. Cards with NO basis in reality are simply stupid. Ozzie has power comparable to Frank now?

I get what you're saying but this applies to all Topps Now cards and Future Stars cards. Jordan Walker who has never had a Major League At Bat is better than Nolan Arenado? Some rookie who got a game winning hit is better than Griffey? It's also true of many of the postseason cards or really any card that celebrates a moment or series and not the career.
Of course Ozzie doesn't have 99 power he has 28 career home runs. But Jordan Walker has 0 career home runs and he has 120 power? Sometimes you just gotta go with it.
