Boy those two 99 A-Rod cards in 2016 were great. So was the Texeira (SP)

Ramirez = long shot
I can see Teixeira, Reyes, Ichiro getting added to the game in a few years though.
Jeter might happen next year.

Yeah because they get a budget from Sony on what they can spend on legends, so if you pay to get new ones, you obv have to sacrifice old ones

One has to wonder if it is less about cost and more about conflicting contracts. Example: Arod signed a contract to make a baseball game with his exclusive name on it. The contract was set to last 20 years, and despite no game like that being produced, he can not sign a competing contract. Licensing [censored] happens like this all the time, I'm sure the it would be the same for name/ likeness contracts.

This isn't true. There are plenty of players in the HOF who aren't in the game.

This isn't true. There are plenty of players in the HOF who aren't in the game.
The new inductees have all gotten cards latley Walker/Ortiz etc, i think thats what they meant.

In that scenario where no game was ever made it's almost impossible to think they still paid him over the course of the deal, so it likely would have been terminated. There are definitely cases of exclusive rights to a player in sports games going to one company over another. That's mostly in soccer though at this point because the competition in other sports gaming disappeared.

Absolutely; unfortunately, Hornsby was one of my favorite cards to use. They should have gotten rid of one of the players who they can’t seem to fix their card. However, that kind of thing is subjective to the users of that card.
