Albert Hits Number 703 (10/3/22) - Moves into sole possession of 2nd place all-time in RBIs
-
Can we all agree if he gets to 699, whoever the Cards play, need to sign Brad Lidge? Pujols jacking 700 off a pitch from lidge would bring back such memories
-
He says whetever he ends up with he ends up with. but hes gotta be looking at that 7 with 2 zeros now.

He just hit 693 at Wrigley. That's 8 HR in his last ~50 PA.
Everybody should watch it and see just how far out of the zone that pitch was. It was a foot high.
Of course when that happens in the game that is just unrealistic.

#694 tonight
Yep broke another record, which it seems he is doing every game these days. It was the 450th pitcher he has hit a home run off which is an all time record.
Not Pujols related but Wainwright and Yadi are only 3 starts away from setting an all time record that will probably never be broken again. They have started 322 games as a battery. That is only 2 behind the Mickey Lolich and Bill Freehan.
-
Pujols ties Rodriguez with his 696th HR tonight.

Wednesday night will be the Waino-Yadi record. It would be amazing if he gets it in that game.
I might have to splurge and see if I can go to that one. I just hate spending that kind of money though.
-
He is gonna get right there.
My bet is he is at 699 with 4 games to go. -
He hit a 697 today to take sole possession of 4th place. He isn't catching anyone else so now it is just 3 more for 700
-
I would be interested to see if he gets to say 698 or 699 on the final day of the year and some team says have your final day in the sun as they give him BP fastballs to swing at.
-
700 would be nice, but he already did the big thing and passed A Roid for number 4 all time. Unless he catches Ruth, 17 more lol, he will still be 4th. Gotta wonder where he would be if we had a full 2020 instead of 60 games, and/or he lived up to some of the Angels contract. He should be closing out his career on top the HR charts.
-
I think he gets it. If I’m playing against the Cardinals and my team is out of the race, I would definitely be leaving a few fastballs down the middle for him.
-
I say he hits, one this week and 2 in his final game to go out in epic fashion for 700.
-
He'd already be at 298 if it wasn't for Mike Tauchman of the Giants. He robbed a walk-off homer from Pujols.
-
Next week they’ll play the Dodgers. I hope we give him a few pitches to hit his 3 homeruns if he isn’t there yet.

I saw a video somewhere, I can' t remember where, that showed a collection of potential home runs by Pujols that were robbed over the years. It was enough that he would be over 700 easily.
And I have to believe that there are more because I don't think there is an easy way to go through a 20 year career and find them all.
