Conquest was time consuming.
Moments took me some time.
I haven't completed Showdown. I think its luck of the draft and so far the players that pop up doesn't give me much of a choice. I would have loved to be able to use my DD guys against Showdown but that's not how it rolls.Oh and Wyatt....I must be a monkey LMAO
LOL, if you haven't beat conquest it is because you don't play conquest. You could beat it with one hand on the controller, my friend
Finished it Sunday night. Now Showdown on the other hand. My drafts have been sorry. With that said, not the greatest picks to choose from yet.

I haven't tried but now I'm worried I'll somehow prove to be less skilled than a monkey. Though if you say it's easier than the US Map, that gives me hope. I am chipping away at this with an ice pick to Mt everest. 9 points and counting!!!!!
The conquest isnt that bad really. You just have to take 5 strongholds in the first 5 moves (basically, 5 games on All Star) and then steal 9 million fans in the first 9 moves. After that, the goals are just take X amount of strongholds and X amount of territories.

Yeah I'm not too worried about the All Star games or stealing. Just the simming and starting over part haha. But I will do it for sure. I will find a way to finish this program by 2023.

The Extreme Conquest Map is how Every Featured Inning Conquest should be. Big, Lots of Strongholds, Missions that Involve Strategy and taking a minute to develop a plan...Throw in the small 4 Team strongholds that can be completed in a couple hours for extra XP later in the program.
-
I'm almost finished with the conquest with only 2 strongholds left. The one thing that I learned from doing this is that the game plays much better on All Star than Rookie and Veteran. CPU pitching on Rookie, and Veteran to a lesser degree, sucks. I simmed everything except for strongholds and only had one really bad result.
-
The extreme conquest was super easy, no complaints here. I suck at the game so I know I will never beat showdown. Im just happy to have Wood and CHapman, I could care less about Cano and Donaldson. Although I will get them in a couple months when i have enough 25k pxp missions completed. LOL

Is that a lot of you don’t like a challenge.
Turn based conquest missions? Too hard.
Need to steal fans and play an extra game? Too much extra time.
Moments above rookie difficulty? Oh boy, I may need to try.
Showdown? Don’t like losing won’t even try it.
You guys all want great cards just dropped into your lap, but don’t want to do anything to get them.
That may be the case for some, however people have a legitimate point about how the Extreme Program plays, specifically Showdown. I have finished it and yes I don't think people should complain about Conquest and the Moments, but the Showdown was an absolute joke. The game play is so bad and broken that even people who are skilled at this game are cursing and throwing their controllers on their YouTube channels! Common CPU players making plays Trout couldn't make, perfect-perfect with garbage results. Even when I did finish it and win most of it was luck. Lucky draft, some lucky fielding errors and some very lucky hits with the PCI not even on the ball!
SDS have stopped caring about game play ever since Micro transactions have been introduced in the game and it hasn't been more evident than in this year's game!
-
I think on my best day I could beat Extreme Showdown. But I like to drink and play head to head and the time expense versus the likelihood of failure after an hour has made me decide to put off Showdown until a much later date. Ditto for trying to beat the development team moment. I would much rather get destroyed by another human.

The fact i don't like the extreme program has nothing to do with wanting anything handed to me.
Its the fact we get 50 conquest maps a month, multiple showdowns, & a million moments spread through out offline grinding, i'm sick of doing those things. Thats why I've only completed enough moments to get Wood, and haven't even tried showdown or the conquest, because i've been doing conquest and showdown for a few games and all year, and i'm sick of doing them.

So, started the extreme conquest map last night. Decided to go right for Milw. My strategy is not to sim any contested squares until all turn based goals are finished.
Ran into a 5 square brew defense around stronghold. Played on vet. Won 2-0. Nothing exciting.
Decided to take stronghold. Again, game on vet. My 5th starter (99 greinke) versus 75 Ashby. Nothing in first. Score 2 in 2nd. With 2 outs in bottom of 2nd, tellez hits liner to RF to tie game at 2. I get one in top of 3rd. I bring in my closer (98 fingers) for the win. With two outs, they string 3 hits together to tie. Hmmmmm….
Extra innings. I load the bases and proceed to hit a pop up and then a fly ball to RF where dude throws out 96 speed future star guy by a mile. Hmmmmm….
Bring in 98 Jensen to hold. He strikes out first two guys. Number 8 batter hits a 2 strike flare between 3b, ss, LF for the brew crew win. Hmmmmm ….
Gotta play that brewer stronghold again. It will be on Vet. I think I have 10 to their 7.
If I lose that game, my experience with the Extreme Program will be very short.

I personaly have loved the challenge, the only thing i won't do is the showdown. Finished the Griffey moment and the Delgado moment last night (3 consecutive home runs in a row) and now only have 3 moments left to go. I'm at 80 points and will get Cano eventually.

- Anyone complaining about Extreme Conquest is either absolutely horrible at the game or just like complaining.
- The moments were actually perfect for me. They were not at all easy, but they were not impossible. And I felt like I accomplished something after completing my last one (Delgado because I'm terrible with his swing).
- Showdown is definitely the hardest part. I tried various strategies, but never even made it to Nolan/Randy.
But you don't really even need Showdown. I'm at 88 pts anyway. Will get Cano in the next couple days, and then Donaldson I'll get eventually just grinding PxP.
I LOVED this program!
I have struggled but I love it. It gets me better. Period can’t get better if you don’t play better competition

It’s not that extreme. You shouldn’t need to start over. I just completed the turn based missions (5 strongholds and steal 9 mil fans). Haven’t played above all star yet. The rest should be a breeze. I’m waiting until the end to open the packs. Hope I get some help towards Brett and McCutchen lol

I hate them too brother. My favorite modes are ranked and events. Wish there were more incentive to grind ranked seasons. Events on the other hand have been a great way to collect cards
-
I can't speak to the specific Showdowns but the mode itself just takes some getting used to honestly... just have to take a look at the mission and strategize accordingly. Granted my way of doing programs is to save Showdown for last (or next to last if you count playing MTO and other modes for Gameplay XP) after I complete the Conquest map, Moments and Missions for any given program... and so far so good... I still have yet to get to 100% completion on a program (I think outside of the Los Angeles Angeles Connect Uniform Program) but I have been able to get Bosses as well as cards that I missed out on from previous programs and other cards that will help me get the jump on some of the other programs where you couldn't get the actual cards for the program (Always Intense and Big Dogs for example) until later in the reward tree.
Maybe next year I'll really get my grind going but this year I'm actually having fun with the game after missing out on the last 2.5 close to 3 years.
