Just think if Griffey Mantle and Mays were Future Stars. They would be loaded with attributes. Kind of azz backwards this year.
Future Stars and SDS getting the rights to all the minor leaguers last year is the worst thing to happen to this game. Need more legend cards!! Brewers content has been absolutely terrible...

Last year people complained about getting endgame 99s too early. This year they slowed it down and even offered a compromise by releasing 99s that aren’t endgame before they eventually get endgame cards…and people still complain.
Do you really want everyone to be using the same Griffey/Mantle/Mays OF the next 7 months? I don’t. It gets old year after year.
I think you're missing my point a bit. The OVERALL slower power creep is fine. In fact, I'm starting to come around on the Griffey issue.
But my bigger concern is how undesirable the Ranked Season rewards have been.
I'm not a big Ranked Seasons player (62-47 overall) and I need to be motivated by the rewards to play. And I haven't been.

They could go back to locking the best cards behind making 900/WS in ranked then…if they are giving these rewards away for just participating than why would they put end game cards as rewards half way through the games life cycle?

"Half way through the game's life cycle" is very misleading.
I don't care what the calendar says. I mean, what percentage of gamers play The Show the whole year from April-April? I do, but I bet it's less than 10% of players.

So? Those who stick it out should be rewarded, and considering they put out content into December yes it is half way through the life cycle. They have no problem eliminating the ability to unlock cards that people have missed on past programs why should they be concerned about people who up and leave a month from now?.

And how was I “being a Richard”? From stating an opinion different than yours? If what I said was perceived as such, you need some thicker skin.

Agreed, and since they said that anyone can get a Retro Finest even if they already have a 98 or 99 and that would be their best and final card, it's pretty obvious that many of these players will be getting them.
Is this a real/confirmed SDS statement: anyone can get a Retro Finest even if they already have a 98 or 99 and that would be their best and final card
-
Are we sure Retro Finest are going to be the best card for a player and not the Retro Future Stars Finest series? I personally can't wait for the 1988 Retro Future Stars Finest Vermont Mariners Ken Griffey Jr.

I mean, I'm not sure it's a copywritten quote but they said that if a player didn't have a Retro finest that they could still get one later and specifically used Mickey Mantle as an example which confirmed he'll get one. They really hammered that point home and made a few comments as if to say..."everyone chill another Mantle and Griffey are on the way."
Unless you're being sarcastic haha. Then yes, I think think Yogi Berra said it.

Nope, real question….I don’t watch any streams/twit ch/twitter…..putz around on the forum and use the app and that’s the extent of my extra attention beyond the game.
So is retro finest just that players single best year in their career and then inflated attributes to be elite? Like, I believed the signature series was supposed to be the highest attribute at any one time across their entire career actually making that the best available version.

Oh gotcha, I do appreciate your occasional sarcasm I just didn't know if you wasted idle time at work on the website or watching their streams like I do haha..
That.... I'm not sure of. It seems whatever rules have been established are being thrown out. For instance Mussina had a signature 96 which in the past would have been his best card but then he got a Takashi 99. @the_dragon1912 might be able to answer better. I think the main point they were conveying was that if a player has a high diamond like Griffey or Mantle and it's not a Retro Finest (in other words: "The attributes were below expectations and made the community explode on twitter") they could still get one. I think Mays is another prime candidate.
They did that to some extent last year with regular Finest. Harper, Vlad Jr. And Ohtani all had 99s and then got a 99 Finest. I think this is just a way to drop 99s that aren't OP earlier in the game and then save some of the elite cards of the same players till the end. The fact that McCutchen is a far better card than Griffey despite them both being 99s and Griffey having a far greater career points to this. That is the best Cutch we'll see. But Griffey, Mantle, Mays will have better cards coming.

Ranked seasons is terrible. There is no reward worth grinding this broken mode. I'll save the brain cells and grind the stubs to buy the rewards.

Yes. Traded him in for Chipper.
I also saw a World Series game in person back in 1981.
