99 2nd Half Griffey JR?

Could this be the first year they have 2- 99 cards for a player? I can’t imagine him not getting a Takeshi or retro Finest card (and 2nd Half does not seem to match with the traditional top cards ).
Or all could be out the window this year and this is it.

It is still a 99. I think this is more or less to satisfy the people that complain all year that Griffey drops too late but still rewarding us with a better Griffey later on for those of us who play all year

It's a FREE 99 Griffey that will surely be miles better than his 88 card which still costs about 7k.

That would be awesome! It would probably be similar to the Halladay program then if they go that route.

Are we positive it's a 99 OVR? Just because it states it's a 'Grind 99 Program' doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be a 99. Pretty sure that "phrase' has been uttered for other overalls.

Yeah agreed. At first I freaked out a little about this being a 2nd Half Hero, but remembered Napoli, Ketel, and don't forget that Nelson Cruz that's 125/125 vs L.
And I like what a guy said up above about this Griffey satisfying the masses right now, while holding back an even more juiced version for those of us playing until the end of the cycle.
