2nd Half Napoli

Have those previous players been in rewind packs?

I assume this card will be in one of the Rewind Packs next BR Program?
I don't need him for my team. But I'll eventually need him for the next collection and I'm not locking in 80K in a card that I won't use.
I don’t think he will tnh because he didn’t come in a pack. I think his price will rise.
-
Well, to each his own. But this card absolutely mashes. Of course you could just flip for a bit while watching a game. I hear there are some really excellent margins right now. He's one of my top 10 cards in the game right now.
-
Play BR and get the card. You don’t even have to win games. You make a profit in stubs too, selling the extra gold, silvers, and bronzes from the BR packs. This time it give you 3 extra in each pack. That’s like 9k stubs for each pack…

I did play. I'm about 3 pts shy of 100pts.

Its not that I need the stubs (sitting on 750K) it's just that I see no reason to lock in 80K on someone I may never use.
I prefer defense over offense with a catcher. And besides, the only time I would use him is in an Event game or against the CPU. And anyone can play catcher vs the CPU.
I'm going to have the same issue when I get the Flawless pack. Wanted to pick Mullins and have him and AS J-Rod on the bench. Then once I get FOTF Trout to P6; bring one of them in and then rinse and repeat.
But with Griffey coming out next week, and him being my End Game center fielder, no need for Mullins. Don't need him, Darvish, Springer, or Longoria. So I may just take whomever is selling for the most and sell them.
-
Lock him in then. Hard to believe you’d still need stubs at this point of the game.

I guess I'll never understand using 1 player per position in a fantasy game with some many great options. But that's just me. Yes, I get that somebody wants the best possible team but if I had to run the same roster up everyday, I would have lost interest in this game a long time ago. Again, to each their own. How far are you in your collections?

It's not that I need the stubs. It's just that locking him in doesn't get me any closer to Brett or McCutchen. So I'd rather sell and take the chance he drops in price later down the road.

It's not that I want to use the same lineup per say; it's that I would like to use some of these players until I get them to P5 and decide if I want them replaced.
I'm not at the console; but I think I have 10 vouchers for Brett and I need all the expensive ones. I know I need the Takashi one, the FS one, and a few others.
McCutchen I have 5-6 vouchers.
But I'm in no hurry for Brett as he be a bench bat, at most, until I P5 Devers.
Cutch the same. Right now CF is FOFT Trout till I P5 him. Then AS J-Rod until he is P5'd. And then Griffey.
While Cutch could go in RF or LF; it will be awhile until I get him as I still need 20-22 AS/HRD cards just to get Jackie. And that's including all the ones that are 100K+. So it would take me more than 500K to even get Jackie.
And I'm not in a hurry for him until I P5 FS Brujan.
Pretty much I could just play with whom I have now at each position without having the need to upgrade a position.
-
FS Brujan is . Criminally underrated.
-
Your squad is legit with Brett and Cutch being bench bats, at most.
-
I roll with my favorite swings in Ranked and am a 50/50 player.
But vs the cpu/grind i enjoy playing w Live Series themed squads on all star and hof.
I have especially enjoyed playing w the LS Nimmo.
I could not in my heart play Napoli with that beard over Gary Carter.
I guess I am good w loosing if that is the case. 🤪

Yes his price will explode. I may pick up another for that reason.

Rewind packs are only the BR flawless rewards, unless they opt to add a previous program rewind. Usually the 90 point rewards are one and done.

I really like Devers but Brett is DEFINITELY an upgrade, Same in CF with Cutch over Trout. But there are lots of CF that are close, HRD JRod, for example. Personally, I have SO many cards I don't use in game but I needed them for collections and I like having as many cards as I can

Only thing I'll counteract in your reply is the word 'upgrade'.
Unless the card is going to magically guarantee me that every swing will be a homerun; I don't care, to a point, if it's an upgrade to what I have now. Devers is a favorite player of mine so I'll use his card.
When I eventually get Brett; he'll get some playing time after I P5 Devers. But once Brett is P5'd; I'll probably go back to Devers unless the release a 99 Chipper. Then I'll P5 him and chances are two of them will be bench bats.
-
I'm not complaining about there being to many cards. And it's really an observation, not a complaint, but there are newer upgradable, if you must, cards being released that I probably won't touch until I P5 some of the players I have now.
That's why I sold Napoli. He wouldn't get constant play until Davis and Perez were P5'd and I figured I would take a chance and sell him in hopes he drops in price when/if I need to buy him back.
Again, if he doesn't, then oh well. At least I'll have something to buy with my stubs.
Heck, I could probably buy who all I need right now and get Brett but I'm waiting to see if I can earn those players first.
