Judge has more home runs this year than Gallo has hits. It seems pretty easy to give him away for a minor leaguer.

That is some slump. He has not hit over .200 only once in the last 4 seasons and probably won't do so again this season. He has a .201 career average.

That is some slump. He has hit over .200 only once in the last 4 seasons and probably won't do so again this season. He has a .201 career average.
Yeah, but he had a slugging percentage of .490 and an OPS of .869 at one point last year. In 2019 he had a slugging of .598 and an OPS of .986. There is potential there, it just has to be tapped and honed.

Gallo has no doubt been terrible this year, but anyone who has followed him through his career knew that New York would be a train wreck. He is never going to be a high average guy, but can be a productive hitter and great defender in the right setting …and when he is locked in. Don’t know if he will find those things again, but I sure hope he does.

Gallo’s never been the same since he turned down a chance to go to LSU.
The 2013 team with Bregman, Gallo, Rhymes and Nola would have murdered everyone.
