I wouldn't mind seeing a special Pujols and Cabrera Diamond card.
Agreed. Maybe even drop their 99 for a collection itemize they did last year with Ohtani and Prince Fielder? Two more 99s won't break the game considering they're both 1Bs at best haha.
I actually hope they don't, but not because a 99 Cabrera and Pujols would break the game, but because I think the legacy picks for the ASG is dumb. It doesn't look so bad with 2 of the greatest hitters ever, but the whole reason this legacy ASG selection thing even exists imo is to give players an end of career boost to HOF resumes. Pujols and Cabrera don't need that boost, but some of the players that will be added to those spots in the future definitely will(think guys with Careers like Greinke)
I never even thought of that. It's funny though I was thinking it's pretty crazy that Pujols had only been in 10 ASGs which is a lot but nothing compared to the stars of my childhood like Ripken, Gwynn, Ozzie etc.
I also didn't really consider that this was a start of a new trend. I wish they'd have given it to Molina and Waino as well but that obviously would be ridiculous having 3 from the same franchise. I'm obviously bias though.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how these picks are used in the future. I can't imagine that a single legacy all-star selection tilts the HOF meter much at all for any player. By the time you are at the stage of your career that you would be considered for a legacy selection I would hope their case has already been made.

I agree with you, but I think you are underestimating how nitpickey a good portion of The HOF voters are with their selections. 7 Allstar appearances instead of 6 could sway 30 voters for a guy like Votto

I'd love a good Arraez card - 125 vision, L/R contact. Like an old school carew where everything is a hit
Yes, this could definitely be a sleeper for sure. The popular pick would be Buxton of course but sometimes it's more fun to go with the guy that's having a Breakout.

No please not Buxton again, I don't know why we need certain players to have 3/4/5 different cards, personally I would love to use new players from the Twins I haven't used before. Arraez would be perfect.

This is a good point. And there are so many names that fit that description that aren't slam dunks that could be in this conversation over the next several years.
Votto, Greinke, Nelson Cruz, Bumgarner, Waino if he goes another year and a ton more in the next 5-7 years.

Yep exactly. Arraez to me should be a no brainer. Best avg. in baseball.

Wish Jonah Heim would have made reserve for catcher. Would’ve loved that for the Rangers. Maybe SDS can give us an all star snub pack. Lol

Pujols and Cabrera double collection rewards 99 overalls...a guy can wish

I think either them or judge and acuna since they got most votes
-
I will say I’m not very excited for another CJ Cron. The Rockies have way too many 1B options already but he’ll be a nice filler/bench bat until a higher OVR Helton drops.
-
Alonso, Acuna, Pujols, Soto for the HRD so far.
-
I’ll play. I think there will be a collection. And the rewards will be shohei again since he made it as a pitcher and hitter. But there will be a collection reward Miggy or Albert, probably a throw back.
Obviously 8 home run cards
If they run it like last year, they’ll have 30 cards but I’m guessing it will be like the Faces of the franchise so we’ll only be able to get 12 of the cards and buy the rest. And I get some of my predictions will be guys who just had cards but with the roster as is these are my thoughts.
Baltimore - Jorge Lopez
Tampa - Shane McClanahan
Boston - Xander Bogaerts
Yanks - Nester Cortes
Toronto - Alejandro KirkCleveland - Andres Gimemez
Minnesota - Luis Arraez
White Sox - Tim Anderson
Detroit - Gregory Soto (Miggy if they don’t have a reward)
KC- Andrew BenintendiOakland - Paul Blackburn
Seattle - Julio Rodriquez
Houston - Framber Valdez
Texas - Michael Perez
Angels - Mike TroutMets - Jeff McNeil
Atlanta - William Contreras
Philly - Bryce Harper
Miami- I’d love to say Alcantara but SDS loves Jazz so I’ll pick Jazz here
Nats - Juan SotoCubs - Willson Contreras
Pitts - David Bednar
St. Louis - Nolan Arenado again if there is a Puljos collection reward
Brewers - Corbin Burnes
Cincy - Luis CastilloDodgers - Tony Gonsolin
Colorado - CJ Cron
Arizona - Joe Mantiply
San Diego - Manny Machado
Giants - Yet another Joc Peterson -

I hope you're wrong about a Pujols card being a throwback.
I desperately want a good Pujols with his far superior, current Live Series swing.
Pujols will get a card for HRD,that doesnt end his chance of an ASG card, but might lower the possibility
-
SchwarBOMBS confirmed as a HRD participant.
Think this guarantees the phils ASG card as Harper as i dont think they ll give Schwarber HRD and ASG on top of the potm. -
@imdfc_psn said in All Star Program Prediction thread::
Harper will definitely have a 96 ovr All-Star card (Can't get too close to the guaranteed 99 2015 card), and Schwarber will get a card that matches wherever he finishes.
Harper's mvp card might be for last year instead of 2015, this year.

Well, I have not used his live card but I love the swing his ROY card has. I have been killing it with that card.
