I go entire games without throwing a strike and still manage to give up 10+ hits over 9 innings. This is inexcusable. If you swing at every single pitch, you should not be rewarded consistently. It’s absurd that if you get the timing down of a repetitive video game, you are excused from actually playing baseball.

Can't say I have the same problems as you at all.

When I find people who will swing at everything out of the zone, I typically rack up 20 strikeouts (that is if they don't rage and bunt dance and R2 before qutting)

You cannot hit if you do not swing.

Sounds pretty cowardice to go an entire game without throwing a strike. Challenge people!

id love to play you mate - ill walk all day, get my runs that way, and when your guy throws the odd strike - i'll crush it to the moon and make you watch the replay

I definitely see where the OP is coming from. I have had many times this year where I am facing someone who truly swings at everything and smart baseball would be to not give them anything in the zone. That is not being a coward and there is no point challenging them. The challenge started when the game started and the challenge is to win the game. You see it all the time with big leaguers who fall into slumps and can’t lay off certain pitches outside the zone and they continue to get pitches outside the zone.

The problem with this game is that when you face someone who swings at everything, they can foul off a ridiculous number of pitches which runs up pitch counts….then the game decides a floater needs to come over the plate because it is a “good at bat”. What my solution in these situations is focusing on keeping their timing off…yes, I can throw sliders away and they will swing all day, but I am way more effective against these guys if I still mix some things up. This still shouldn’t be necessary because it is a very, very broken mechanic of the game, but I don’t see it changing.

You are not the player he describes. You describe yourself having plate discipline, which is not what he is talking about.

I would normally say stay with meter and throw the pitch right down the middle and let RNG finish the job. But this current event begs to differ on the matter as it's not working this time around LOL

I made practically the same post the other day, but worded it differently. I look for pitches out of the zone myself lately because they seem to be hit harder with a better exit velocity. A good timing swing on the ball out of the zone is always hit hard this year. I also have the same problem as you and compared it to a br completely missing the target and being rewarded with the highest damage shot. I understand irl mlb players get hits out of the zone, but this isn’t irl it’s a game and my opponents and I shouldn’t be rewarded for swinging at junk.

Allstar is an RNG nightmare. You will have a much more enjoyable experience on HOF.
