Most annoying moment ever

It doesn't help that Oneil Cruz is 18 feet tall and manages to catch every line drive headed for the gap

Moments are back! Ahh, the Moments I remember from The Show 21 and just “loved” so much. CPU pitchers that won’t throw strikes. Or dot corners with unhittable pitches. Giving me player cards with numbers that don’t get the job done. Playing each and every moment at least five times. These always intense moments are just a joy to try.
That’s on top of the perfect/perfect fly outs and 100+ velo hits that a ground ball DP or lazy OF fly outs. Which are a normal part of the 22 grind.
SDS got it right with the April Topps Now moments. On rookie and with cards that had sufficient power, contact or velocity for that moment.
The move to Veteran on these particular ones has certainly increased the frustration level.
Oh, and like the OP said, castellanos hit exactly a double? Really? Strike out the side with a junk ball pitcher. Strike out two Dodgers with a junk baller. Oh, and the brock holt moment with 75 power. Sheesh.
Yup, Moments are back. C’mon SDS set us up for success ! Not failure!!

This moment has been a complete nightmare. All I do is hit triples
-
Nothing can ever top Clemente at Forbes. Ever.
This one took me 4 ABs.
-
I got lucky on this one and got a high strike on the first pitch that I ripped into the left center gap.
-
Brings back great memories of the 10 doubles with Joe Torre mission in 18...
-
I do believe the Daniel Nava moment from 18 is the all time worst. it was just brutal

Well played, because I know you're smart enough to stop at second.

That and Barry Larkin, because it required XBH and you had to steal like 2 bags. Yes and it wasn't player locked!

I can’t remember which one it was but there was one from last year that you needed to get six bases. And no matter how hard I tried I could not hit one out. I had to get it the harder way.
-
I don’t think this castellanos moment is possible using directional hitting. All I do is hit homers with him. And that would be fitting, given his 110+ power. Just ridiculous. Seriously.
-
Even using contact swing, I just hit two homers with him
SDS, fix this one. Please.

I used directional and got it in his 2nd or 3rd AB.

What's crazy is those regular moments back then were harder than the extreme moments later on. Yet people complained about them and now they are gone. Pretty soon we will be doing programs and moments by just turning on our system and loading up the game. Video games get exponentially easier ever few years.

Very well said!

Nava was three doubles I believe, and was absolutely terrible.
So was Clemente at Forbes.
But I remember Joe torre two homers or two doubles taking me hours and hours.
People nowadays forget, or don’t appreciate how great of a change it was that they started doing xbh instead of specifics. So much easier now.

Those old “moments” were absolutely brutal because it wasn’t a moment — you had to accomplish them in a full 9-inning game. So many games I had to walk the CPU with the bases loaded to even the score and (hopefully) artificially extend the game. I remember a few people rage quitting because they got three hits with Nava (which wasn’t easy), managed to get him up to bat again in the 9th, and the CPU pitcher hit him with the first pitch. Ha ha ha.

I think you're right it was a player mission you had to get in a single gm. I thought it was like get 4 Hits in one gm & his card was absolutely .

Yeah, it was in a full game. The worst is when you had already finished Conquest and your other missions, so you were really only playing the game to get one guy up to the plate. That was torturous. Like trying to get two XBH in a game with 2018 J.P. Crawford. He pops up for an out, and now you’re staring down three meaningless innings, including having to pitch, until he’s back up again. No bueno.

My least favorite of all time was I think was 10 total bases with Pujols in a Moments Extreme moment. I only did the first set of those extreme moments to get Jim Edmonds but I remember spending days off and on trying that one. It is why, to this day, I cringe whenever I see a total base mission.
