Way to many repetitive cards give us some interesting throwbacks

SDS pulled off the greatest troll with him in 17

Yup, I remember that. Free classic legend on April 1st.

Two really good cards back in the day. Curious to see how they would play now.

There’s a lot of cool options with players that are already in the game they could do but instead just keep repeating cards.
I’ve been hoping for a Mychal Givens card for years but it never happens.

Totally agree man! There are way to many legends and players in the free-agent list that could get more than 1 card, but instead, we got 30 95 overall fantasy cards of 18-year-olds...

Yeah, I’ve got a fantasy about 30 18-year-olds but it doesn’t involve baseball.

Unfortunately with his sexual misconduct allegations we won’t be seeing him again anytime soon

Just throwing it out there, how about a Deion Sanders card? Or maybe players from baseball movies, Crash Davis, Nuke Laloosh, Willie Mays Hayes, Dorn? Would that be too dumb?
Just rifting.. -

Just rifting..The problem with Deion(and Bo Jackson) is that I would assume their asking price to be in this game is the same that Madden gives them, which SDS just can't match up with. Would love to see them both though

SDS repeats cards because players best seasons don’t normally change. Awards/Milestone/Sig is the best they can do mix in some variety, but Eddie Mathew’s 1953 season is always going to be his best no matter how much you want to see a different card (to use but one example)
As for movie cards, we’ve been over this eight gazillion times. Unless Sony released the movie, it just ain’t happening. So your only real options are Ray Hobbs and Jimmy Dugan.

And jimmy Dugan was based on Jimmie Foxx. There was an actual Jimmy Dugan but he only had 5 place appearances for the st. Louis browns in 1911. Why they used his name in a league of their own is beyond me. Maybe Jimmie Foxx wanted to much money.

Do these players have to die first before they can use their likeness? I seriously think any player who doesn't want to be in the video game is greedy af.
It's a video game they can't pay every one... be in the game and let young fans who never got to see you play use your fictional player. Even if it's marginal you can still extend your legacy through a game.

There was about 5 john smoltz cards in 2020 i believe, maybe sds is going for the record with some players, Mike Trout for instance.

So basicly you wants someone to just give up their likeness for free.
I'm sorry but this is a bad take. These players know their worth and put a price tag on the use of their name and likeness.
Nothing wrong with knowing your worth but also have to consider certain names SDS may not want to associate with from a business standpoint or are contractual not allowed to have in the game. It's very possible MLB as part of the licensing agreement said here is a list of players names who are not allowed in the game r the contract is void.
It's not as easy to just say be in the game
