People asked for Roy Halladay, they gave them Roy Halladay.

The program was based off Roy Halladay, one of the greatest pitchers who hasn’t been in The Show in some years
Just so happens he played for the Phillies and Blue Jays

Sell the cards on the way through the program, add Halladay to your rotation and move on
If it makes you feel better it’s only a 2 week program and they just announced next program to be 30 players (1 for each team)

Whoever thought of doing a team specific program was really off the mark.

I have no interest in this 2nd inn program this year. I have no interest in the Phillies or their history and players. I don't hate the Phillies, but its not a team I am interested in. And why the Phillies of all teams? Its not a nationally recognized team like say the Yankees or Dodgers.

Anyway, first time in 6 years playing DD I have no interest. I usually like to do all the program missions but screw it w/ this program. Don't feel like doing multiple pitching missions w/ Halladay or any of these guys.

Just wanted to say that. Im sure Im not the only one feeling this way. Hopefully we see no more team specific programs thru the 22 cycle.

    Who cares???

    LOL.

Phillies are the largest single-market team. And in my experience, they travel better than any other team.

Did they announce what kind of players? Is it future stars?

If they go the route they did last year it will probably be Legend versions of the FOTF cards.

And chances are you'll only be able to earn 12 out of the 30 and the first 6 will be No Sell versions and they'll randomly assign you one where everyone will get all catchers.

    Where in Delaware? Not nationally.

I'm still rocking 4 of those cards until they p5. Really hope we can get a choice pack this time around.

Same here. I haven’t even turned the game on in 2 weeks. Not feeling the game at all this year. Between the gameplay issues and basically the same copy and paste cards every year, just really don’t have an urge to play it anymore. Just my opinion though

Could’ve been done a lot better that’s for sure. Cool seeing Halladay but why not just make him a regular boss instead of dedicating 2 weeks to one team. Especially with they killed TA this year.

No... The Phillies aren't even close to the largest nationally recognized team. Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers are the top 3 and Cubs, Giants , Tigers. You made that up.... not facts at all.

    I stand corrected!

Philly is technically #3 behind DFW and HOU (They’re splitting DC and BAL which is a little stupid.)

PS: Tigers? Really?!? Unless you’re speaking of …

    I think @SaveFarris_PSN 's point was the "single-market" comment. Yankees/Mets, Dodgers/Angels, Giants/A's, Cubs/White Sox...

Philadelphia by population is much bigger than Detroit and Boston.

....well that literally has nothing to do with baseball then. The Phillies barely can sellout their home games... I mean the Red Sox and Yankees are so well traveled they sellout other teams stadiums. The Red Sox have soldout 745 home games in a row currently. The Yankees are the only team in baseball that outsells them in apparel and the Phillies aren't even ranked top 10 in most fans nationally. So even if he meant population... do you think Philadelphia has a higher population than New York city or Los Angeles???

Any list you will find of most fans nationally isn't even putting Phillies in top 5... nevermind bigger than the big 3.

No, I get that. His main comment was "single market". That's all I was trying to address. Of course New York and Los Angeles are bigger, but they each have 2 teams.

P.S. I have no dog in this fight. Of all the big cities I've traveled to, Philadelphia scares me the most. Those people are frightening. And.... fight!

Ive never gone to a baseball game where the phillies are not playing and ever seen a phillies hat or uniform worn by anyone.

I have gone to games where I see Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers hats/gears worn by people where those teams are not even playing in the game I'm attending.

That's like when I go to games in Tampa Bay. I went to see the Red Sox play, and it was basically a home game for them. Kind of sad...

Florida is especially Red Sox favored.... a lot of people retire in New England and move down to Florida. I see Red Sox gear everywhere in Florida. I see a lot Yankees, Cubs, Dodgers gear worn here in Massachusetts.... but never even met a Phillies fan here.
