These new programs....kinda stink tbh

I much preferred last year's inning programs and stat based missions for each card you earned as opposed to slogging through this crappy "Earn PXP with these players" missions. Change my mind or help me to see this is a better system,, SDS.
-
Maybe not a better system but it forces me to change up my lineup and use different combos of cards. FOTF was kind of meh, spring cleanup wasn't not great. This new program really looks solid if you have the time to get the xp in the two weeks. I liked the inning system because it was predictable but maybe that's why they switched it up.

Inning programs were stale and team affinity was a handout

And this just sucks the life outta you.... which was better?

Here is the issue beyond everyone having different opinions on what is fun.
If they had not changed the structure and just rolled out the same inning programs, player programs and team affinity then they would have been called lazy and people would say they just cut and paste last years game.
But they did change it which enabled those who preferred last years programs to complain.
Somebody was always going to complain.
-
Inning programs was started in 19 it had run its course and was tike for a change
TA did more harm then good as it gave out to much to easily and devalued rewards cards in the Inning programs/ WS and BR Also everyone mad with the loss of TA just remember in 20 we had a program for each team with 4 stages so 120 programs that got reduced to 6 division programs and 5 stages so 30 programs but everyone is OK with losing 90 programs form 20 to 21?
These program structure provides variety we aren't working on a program that last 28 to 30 days every program. 2 weeks from now we can get hyped again for more new content.
PXP mission are better then stat missions you are always progressing no matter what unless you quit out to early.
SDS hasn't implemented a pay to win system they have adjusted things to reward those who have always played the game the way its memt to be played and the hit it and quit it crowd isn't getting rewarded.
22 content is better then 21 cause it's focused and has purpose
-
IMO the program itself is not the issue. What is the issue to me is the path line of rewards. They just do not "WOW" me. The dont excite me or motivate me to go thru the grind of getting 500K to 750K in XP to complete it for the final grand reward. This Program right now only needs 500K to complete it, but it also ends in 13 days. So we have to rush a grind to get 500K in XP & I doubt they will kick in Double XP earnings next week. I am just very disappointed so far with 22

Honestly I think it’s just to make people use cards that they typically wouldn’t use which creates more lineup diversity. For example, I was building an events lineup and putting utley, Howard, etc in the lineup to get the xp. Yes, I have better players at those positions but I don’t really offline grind so that’s how I attain it.

This…
I played an event game yesterday with 67 Howard and first and that 74 Delgado or whatever in left, with gold holiday pitching. Won the game, Howard hit a HR, holiday pitched 2 innings. Way more fun the playing vs CPU, and events games records don’t matter.

Look at that final 100k tho... It's 20 total packs and not worth the purposeful grind
My problem is that I grinded hard to finish the last program and burned myself out after finishing at 700k there
-
All these Show Pack Bundles of 3, 5, 10, 15 or even 20 which are given as rewards mean NOTHING if you dont pull anything of any Value at all from them. With tbe last Program I was so P****D OFF due to grinding out 750K in XP to complete it, got all those Show Pack Bundles, all those HL & BIAH Packs & I got NOTHING!!!!!!!! Therefore Show Packs as a Grand Final Reward is horrible because you just Grinded out to finish that entire progran to just rely on odds of pulling something good which is NOT likely to happen with most. Only some are lucky with getting great cards pulled ir getting Chase Packs & getting great pulls from those.
-
Didn't mind the FOTF and Spring Cleaning programs but this one is buns. I suppose Philly fans like it but otherwise yikes.

Just like the inning programs the grand prize ends a little over half way thru. In this case well before 200k xp for the grand prize. You don’t have to grind past that. So anyone saying it’s a mindless grind, well yes, it is. After 200k it’s just packs. If you value packs then go for it. Me I’ll take my time and get my Doc card. Everything else is gravy.
This isn’t much different than the inning program. It’s the same package with a different bow.

Exactly
The issue is not with the program it with everyone expections of what the main reward is SDS makes the main reward at 200k xp but provides additional loot after that for those that continue to play the game.
If your goal is to complete the program to its max then that is on you SDS has laid out that the main reward is at 200k xp if you have expections of bigger rewards after that then it's your expections that need to be readjusted.
Note that SDS has added 2 packs into this reward path we haven't seen yet in the cover and Takashi packs which are really good value still. I don't understand what this player base wants

But the difference is that the packs at the end were choice packs. You got to see what you could choose from pending if it was split with a Rare Pack or Standard Pack. It was not just ONLY Show Packs, HL's or BAIH's that will most times ONLY give at best a Gold Card.

You mean the 85-89 Live series pack that everyone cried about.
Here are the last 4 rewards in the 3rd inning program last year
560,000 XP – Diamond Ballplayer choice pack
590,000 XP – Space 3 pack
620,000 XP – The Show pack (x10)
650,000 XP – Diamond Live series player (85-89 overall)We had the same arguments last year from the community that if you maxed out the reward wasn't worth it but it will always be that way cause SDS isn't going to devalue the main reward in the same program. Again we are talking about expectations here that people want the maxed out reward to be better then the actually reward it's expectations that need to be adjusted not the rewards

Yea but how are you going to spend most of your game time playing the market without all those duplicates from those packs?.
-
3rd inning program and the Halladay program rewards the same number of Show packs/HL/BIAH packs with 49

There is NO MARKET Value on Common, Bronze or Silver Cards. As well 80% of the Gold Cards are worth nothing over the Quick Sell Value. So even if EVERY repeat were sold per each Pack opened. It will average out to be about 400 to 700 in stubs based on how many of each tier was pulled in that pack. Most packs always has Free Agents which have even lower market value.

But the market reflects as cards don't cost as much as they use to BR cards that are no long in the pack can be scooped up for 45 to 35k last year those were 100k plus cards so it's not like we make less stubs but everything cost more it's all.worked in balance
