Rundowns/Pickles vs CPU
-
Just curious if anyone has ever won one
-
What kind of pickle? Dill? Gerkin? Bread and Butter? Kosher?
-
No, amd it's one of the most frustrating things about playing the cpu. Their defense is never out of position. Every ball off the wall is played perfect, every rundown is played perfect, every throwing error is backed up perfect.

This. I remember playing rookie vs the cpu last year and they would have atleast one error per game, make some mistakes on hits off the wall and never make crazy diving plays. The pitcher wall still existed. Those were the days.

I got caught in a pickle last night in RTTS(The AI ALWAYS balks but that's a gripe for another time), I read the initial throw and took off...the first basement suddenly turns into Billy F'in Hamilton to run me down without a throw, almost moving in fast forward. What I hate is the input delay, it's almost a full second on that kinda stuff.
-
Cpu had me caught between first and second. After avoiding a couple of tags, they overthrew second and I landed safely. Small victory for me haha!
-
No, but I have been dead to rights before, returned to the bag and the fielder with the ball just stands there and watches me get back. Weirdest thing I ever saw.

there is also a weird thing if you have a man on third and ground to the 3rd Baseman, the third baseman runs back to 3B and is either way late on the throw to first or completely holds it.
