Congrats. He is fantastic. I have not had any good pulls this year, but was able to grind away and bought him two weeks ago. I added Ohtani this weekend and I have only Vlad Jr to get and LS collection will be fully completed. Only 80k more to get.

This is how SDS sucks you in. Gameplay stinks, programs stink, etc..... You pull the best card in the game and your whole outlook changes. You no longer care about nonstop foul tips, bloop hits, 90 mph exit velocity routine flies and PP lineouts.

I think I went 3 years between being gifted the fish. Earned him 1 year after a conquest game; when they rewarded cards after each game. And then this year got him in the championship pack of mini season.

Thanks! I was thinking about getting Ohtani with the stubs I saved for Trout. Is there a way to play him in the OF even though he's a SP primary? Also any tips on how to grind stubs for collections? Its taking me longer than I thought.

Thanks! I was thinking about getting Ohtani with the stubs I saved for Trout. Is there a way to play him in the OF even though he's a SP primary? Also any tips on how to grind stubs for collections? Its taking me longer than I thought.
Ohtani is solid but I don't think you can put him in the OF, atleast I don't know how. Besides if you have the LS collection done he should not have to be in the crowded OF with Acuna, Trout and Clemente. The only tips I have are grind mini seasons like a crazy person, or mystery map and pray for good pack pulls. Even with bad pulls you can still make coins by selling everything. My Diamond pulls have not been great but I have pulled multiple commons that have sold for 2500. Even a hundred stubs here and there add up quick. Mini seasons usually gets me a minimum of 40k plus you get XP to get packs in the featured program.

Congrats! Pulled him early this year when I was saving up for him and he was the only AL player I needed. It allowed me to smash through the NL, helped by the fact that I pulled DeGrom soon after.

Mini seasons huh? I have not played it at all since I heard all about the horror stories with this mode. I'm gonna grind that for sure. I collected everything but Diamonds and sell the dupes for stubs so this should help. Thanks again!

I have never pulled him in 5 years. I have a better chance of winning him in BR 12-1 run. Did that once. In 5 years, we are talking thousands of packs.

I pulled Trout from a free headliner pack! Talk about giving new life to a game I have been struggling to have fun with. He homered and doubled in his first 2 AB's. Currently hitting .1000 Lol. This is key for a NMS player. Now I can use the stubs I've been saving on other 90+ diamonds.
If you like trout, try and save up for Acuña too. Whatever live series perks those two have are just unfair. I don’t think I ever go a game without one of those 2 homering.
I’ve played this game for 3 years and must’ve opened thousands of packs, never pulled trout.
It’s the final “bucket list” I have for this game!

Agreed, Mystery Map at least once a day and then mini seasons.
