Sorry but all the programs especially featured program is impossible to beat for casual players
-
Double XP starts the 13th. I've only played offline so far (conquest and mini seasons) and I play on rookie 90% of the time with the occasional veteran or all star when needed in conquest. I don't have any issues finishing missions.
3000pxp with a team is painfully easy. Just use only players from that team. Pitchers get 40pxp just for pitching an inning! If you play a 3 inning game you'll get 90pxp just for 9 at bats, and the pitchers will get 120 just for 3 innings. That's 210pxp right there for getting no walks, no hits, no runs, and pitchers getting no strikeouts, no win, no hold and no save....
And you don't need to buy any diamonds or anything I have most of the team's gold and below done just from all the free packs, and I'll occasionally buy a gold or missing silver because I'm going to need them to finish the live series anyways. And if you're trying to get an individual player's pxp stick them near the top of the lineup to do two things at once.
-
I'll also add that in addition to team pxp missions being extremely easy, individual player missions are not a new thing. They've just replaced the [censored] from last year which was like hit 3 home runs or 5 extra base hits, etc. This system is so much better. You don't have to keep track of who needs to do what, just throw them in a lineup and play. And you get progress no matter what. It was so frustrating when a guy needed home runs and you'd have a bases clearing triple and get ZERO progress. Same as striking out.
They censored cr@p...

Don’t be so hard on yourself to complete everything immediately. I still have a ton of work to do on some of the Jersey programs and Cover Athlete program. They’re just something I’m going to chip away at over time. Unless you really want the rewards to use immediately, just be glad it’s at least something to work on while you’re doing other things.
Focus your time on what can expire… so the Spring Cleanup. That’s basically it. And if you get the 2 boss packs, everything else is just for the ultimate grinders who don’t do much else besides play the game.

Or a double and you hit one in the gap and the dang CPU runner, who was on first, stops at second

If you are a casual part time gamer that plays mostly Rookie & Veteran & enjoy offline play more then online play. Then I have a secret for you ..... You do not need to do any of those PxP Missions or any of the Moment's Missions. You can just play MTO, RTTS & Conquest. Each gives you lots of XP towards main Program.
In Conquest even if you finished a map & got the 30K in XP, you can still do it over & over & over. Even though the 30K XP is only given once. You still do get the "Per Game XP. I suggest doing the Mystery map. Only takes about 30 min to complete & you get the Game XP & 5 Show packs each time. Also the Nation of Baseball map gives you all those Prospect Packs all over again & those cards you can sell for Stubs. Also the 10 Show Packs when completing the map.
But for tbe most XP i suggest doing MTO on beginner. It is easy to finish & if you max out every at bat to get as many hits, doubles, walks, triples, homeruns, runs, rbi's & stolen bases you can so you will each game by 10 runs or more in each you came into within the 6th, 7th & 8th inning. you will get anywhere from 1500 to 3000 XP from each of those games. As well the XP for All Star Break & making it to play offs & from winning 1st round & winning 2nd round of play offs & as well winning world series. You get all that XP over & over.
Thats how I finished the entire Faces Of The Franchise program & how I am also very close to finishing Spring Cleanup as well using Conquest, MTO & some of RTTS. I am also doing the April MA program just to get all the cards.

I don’t get it; if you play on Rookie and Vet you SHOULD get it faster; I play on HoF (sometimes Allstar) and THAT is slow… 1-0 games with most hitters getting only one AB, and only the top of the order getting 2. Try advancing Ty France with 0/2 games where he gets 27 points a pop… you can get 10+ runs on Rookie (4-5 for a bad-hit lasers at 2B-game) and finish it in an hour playing Conquest.
Anyway, other than hitter specific PXP, load on pitchers from the same team (SP or RP, doesn’t matter if you bring in a SP from the pen) and you’ll get 120 just for 3 IPs on Rookie. Add Ks, and 1.1 multiplier on Vet if you’re feeling confident. Done.
-
Yeah, don't sweat those spring missions, you get so much XP just playing. My goal was to get to 500k xp, I am already nearly there with 10 days left. I play conquest and mini seasons on rookie and Veteran, not that I cant player higher, but I'm going for max xp for PXP. I may have more time than you, but I've also lost a bunch of time with build a stadium. So much counts towards double that SC program will virtually take care of itself, I haven't touched moments for it or showdown for it because I get so my xp from other things.
-
Have you gotten to the second spring cleanup boss pack? That is all you are meant to get to. Don't worry about some packs
-
Don't do the feature program missions. Unless they come naturally *like if you already have a bunch of Yankees in your lineup to get pxp. Ive also skipped alot of the moments since they dont give stubs. I've focused mini seasons and conquest only. Ive done the mystery map probably 30 times. The xp is good and it satisfies my pack addiction. I have managed not to spend any extra money this year. I also suck so I play everything I can on rookie. For those games you have to play on Allstar, utilize your best lineup. I have three lineups set. Number one is best overall team, number two is for mini seasons with 2nd half here's, vets and rookies for the missions, 3rd is pxp grind for whatever guys I need stats for. I also use the 3rd lineup to focus on other guys I want to parallel. So utilize the lineups tab. I only have 150,000 to the last step of the program. As others have said not everyone is supposed to max out. They put in the extra packs at the end to give grinders something to work for.
-
It is moving slow for me to, but I have been playing less do to making extra money. I use my time wisely with lineups that are best for completing the spring cleanup program, The other programs will be there forever, Sometimes you can double dip if there is missions from the spring cleanup program that matches things in other programs. There is no rush to get the jerseys from the connect program. I only have one boss from the spring cleanup and I will get to the second boss. I only play about 2 hours a day if that, A little more on the weekends, If I do not get the bosses well I will buy the ones I want off the Market. When I checked they were not that expensive as in years past.; You get more PXP with pitchers, Make sure you are getting those done, Hitters take forever, Like someone else said put them at the top of the lineup get them 2 at bats in the 3 inning game, I do Mystery Map get those 5 free packs and it is not hard to complete over and over again, I do that at least once a day, I also play Mini season that is about all I am playing at the moment,

15 year MLB The Show gamer here, I know I will get roasted by the community but it has to be said. SDS made completing any mission impossible this year. Having to get PXP for players is nietherly impossible. Yeah yeah yeah I get it all of you that play on All Star and above can knock out the program in a week but those of us that play for fun on rookie or veteran have no chance of completing the programs this year.
On the Spring Cleanup program in Week 2 build PXP missions you have to get PXP on 8 missions which I am not even close to completing. I've completed week 1 which also I had to get PXP. Even on the monthly award you have to complete 13 PXP missions. I've only completed 5 of those missions and still have to unlock 6 more monthly awards players. Same with Cover Athletes program and all the Nike City Connect programs.
Everything this is year is dependent on PXP for cards and when I'm playing on Rookie or Veteran it's taking forever to complete anything. Last year was still a grind but it was fun, this year it's not.

buddy listen I've been playing since sammy sosa was on the cover - i am definitely defined as a "casual player" these days - hardly any time for gaming - it is JUST FINE for programs to be impossible to complete as a CASUAL gamer
this is not a jab at your post, just some devils advocate

I finished the first program while being away from ps5 for two weeks with vacation and then covid. It’s doable. Would I rather they just have stat missions rather than pxp? Sure. But they’re all doable.

Sosa has never been associated with this series 989 or The Show. High heat and Triple play yes

Idk man. I finished spring cleaning and the potm program already. I work 50 hours a week, my oldest has soccer 3 times a week, and I do almost all the cooking.
You just have to prioritize your game time to stuff that earns xp. Just my thought bud, good luck to you.

Once you get the second boss pack everything else is gravy.
I play offline: daily moments, conquest, mini seasons, all the programs, etc. I've finished all the programs with 9-ish days left but I'm also not worried about capping to 750k points. If you're concerned about maxing out the program don't be, it's too much stress.
Other than that, follow the advice stated above and relax. It's baseball, have fun. -
Download blank canvas. Play a 9 inning vs cpu game on rookie or mini seasons. You will score 8-10 runs in mini seasons, or play Baltimore and score 50. Mash swuare for everything. Every fly out is a HR

If you use an orioles or braves or whoever pitcher and play a 9 inning game you will get tons of PXP, add on top of that the position players and you can just about finish the 3000 PXP in 2 games. Or just grind the mystery map for free packs. Those aren't required missions anyway, just knock out the showdowns and conquests and maybe a mini season. You will get more than enough team PXP...the individual ones can be long winded, but doable just passively playing. The Monthly program is passive mainly as well, just use those players mixed in with all Braves, Cubs or whoever. Use Arano to get saves and if you have stripling or when you get wright start them every game

I created a park with short dimensions and high altitude, maybe not as short as that one, but I get a lot of cheap HRs but also a ton of bombs. Also doesn't look too bad either.
-
For the team ones I've just been doing play vs the CPU against baltimore or oakland with a full team of whatever team I need for the program PxP. It's mind numbingly boring but it gets the xp quickly.
I just turn on auto fielding and baserunning too so I can watch netflix or something while I play.

Thank you fellas for not roasting me and giving me advice. I appreciate all your input.
