Worst luck ever

Been grinding the monthly program the past couple nights, and I'm at the part if the program where I'm just earning packs (~600k).
I saved my packs up around 100 standards 8 biah and probably 10 headliners. Got nothing. Maybe earned 10k stubs. I stink. I did earned the potm rewards tho. I don't want to be the "these potm cards won't even make my bench" guy, but....
Sucks that the only way to really make stubs is by getting lucky with packs or living on the market screen. I get it I guess, can't have everyone earning a ton of currency just by playing the game... besides, everyone knows trout is in the next pack.

With the low golds being about 400ish I can see it being realistic if that's what BIAH gave and all the rest were certain low-value bronzes or commons. Could be not much more than 10K if the silvers, bronzes and commons happened to be the ones not worth very much.
I've just scrolled through my open pack history and my last diamond from a standard pack was Verlander on the 17th of April.
I got Bryce Harper from a Headliners on May 1st but going back as far as April 10 I can only find 3 other diamonds in that whole span from all standard, BIAH or Headliners packs. That's going back to page 14 of my open history (out of 20), so playing the game as much as I can outside work etc, I've managed less than a fistful of diamonds (and no dupes, so there's no windfall as I'm trying to do collections). I'll note that I've pulled exactly zero of the high value diamonds so my collection is complete other than the expensive cards. I've purchased quite a few of the mid-value cards I needed for collections (golds, silvers) as I wasn't getting a lot of those in packs either, and then I've been trying to flip to restore some bank after maxing out my collections as far as I could purchase. I'm miles away from earning enough to buy the expensive cards outright, so if I don't get some better luck I'm not going to finish the collection anytime soon, which is wild considering I need only a few cards to do it.
Hats off to them if they tried to make it tougher this year. It's fine, I don't mind playing the game, but I'm starting to wonder how I can be 0 for 3 weeks on standard packs, it's starting to feel a bit sour now. Trust me, I understand probability, so my thought is that I'm probably earning fewer packs this year than last year. I was surprised my open history only goes back 20 pages, considering how much I've been playing (and doing the mystery map several times).

The new quick sell values being OVR based and not tier based, has virtually destroyed the general stub making process from 95% of the market. Probably done by design in an effort to both get people to buy stubs, and limit the amount of market manipulation by the obsessive MLB the Stock Market Simulator that people prefer to play.

I feel your pain. I’ve opened hundreds of packs lately and 90 percent of the time, the most I’ll get value wise is a silver jersey worth 100 stubs. They do not want you making stubs at all this year. That was part of the fun for me in the past was opening packs, working the market etc. It kinda took my mind off the fact gameplay is pretty much trash. Now it feels like I don’t have really any reason to grind this game like in the past. Very lackluster in about every way. Sorry about the bad luck bro. Your not alone

Yeah man I didn't go though and sell all the bronze and commons I got. Fair point, so for 15 hours of playing i only made around 12k stubs. Is that better?

the astros are an affront to good taste. Anyone that willfully roots for that organization I think is lacking in moral fiber. It's a cheating, hedge fund of a baseball team and they cheat so hard they haven't even stopped! That's from a dude that's in their minor league system that was on twitch streaming late night and I won't name him. He confirmed they still do it. What a garbage franchise. Who roots for that?

They have the ability to ruin his career because Trout is willing to put on their jersey. The best player to put on that newly tainted Astros jersey in the last few years is Ryne Stanek while the Angels signed the new Babe Ruth. Or was there some other big signings or trades I missed? Is there even one single player in the league talking to management like “can you get me down to Houston? I’d love to be apart of that”
Houston is the last place anyone hoping to have a career to remember is going, that’s a place to have a career to forget, half the allstars on the team left hoping for exactly that.

You guys are all the same. You attack the fans of the astros for somthing a bunch of millionaire players and coaches did because you're all internet chicken hawks. Idc if they ever sign another big name free agent again, idc if all the players leave. I was a fan of this team before they won, and I'll be a be a fan once all the players that cheated have gone.
Half the allstars left? Wrong. Correa, a primadonna SS that can't stay healthy for a season, George springer, a washed up 32 year old .240 hitter, and Gerrit Cole a cry baby who can't pitch with a palm full of gorilla glue. Yall can have em. How are their allstar careers going now?
