Here’s the thing as a some money spent player and grinder every year... If you’re NMS, it should be a challenge to finish the live series collection, if you’ve got it done it by the all star that’s good... If you pay yes you can get it easier... I understand it’s harder this year, but it was way to easy last year.. The other things, Flawless and World Series rewards needed to be obtained... The million stub wait 4 months for a card was not good for the game... I understand people want flex cards, but The fact that in 20 Chipper Jones and Willie Mays were stuck behind that million stub wait a month paywall things had to change... It’s not perfect they try and change things.

Stop it. Im NMS and im 4 cards away from finishing the LS. Of course i got lucky with a few good pulls (Trout, DeGrom, Hader and Scherzer) but i've grinded my [censored] off for the rest. The only people that actually have to spend money are the idiots that buy bundles because opening packs is "fun" instead of grinding and buying the cards they want like most of us have learned to do.
It's hilarious that you think playing video games 6 hours a day is honorable because you didn't spend money, but yet to those that can't sit home and play videogames... your an idiot if you spend money to enjoy the game. So spending money is for idiots, but playing videogames 40 hours a week is fine. If your 4 cards away from completing LS and haven't spent a penny on packs.... you have sunk massive amounts of time playing a videogame. For me I enjoy the game, but it's way easier to drop $100 on this game than get 3 hours free time on a random week day. When you people say spending money makes you an idiot, it makes you sound jealous, poor, and pathetic.
While I agree with the sentiment that complaining about people spending money is dumb so is bashing people that choose to play games with their free time. Your comment makes you sound like a [censored].
If people want to play games 40 hours a week? Cool let em
People don't have time to play and want to drop money? Cool let em
People DO have time to play but still want to drop money? Cool let emAside from cheating and boosting I don't get the obsession with how much money or time other people spend on the game
I guess you fall into the (play video games 40 hours a week) category. I'm only a $#@% when somebody starts generalizing people as idiots for spending money.
You say you get mad when people generalize in the same sentence that you generalize someone. Good one
No... actually you stepped out of the general group when you chimed in and called me a $#@$. I would never post on a forum randomly that all people who sit home and play videogames all day are idiots... that's the difference. Again... I'm only a [censored] here when somebody asks to be treated as such.
You still sound like a [censored]
That hurts my feelings . Don't you have some videogames to play?
As soon as I get home from work I do, yes.

But, because the stub cost of certain players is lower, people cheered. They didn’t realize that they made it harder to earn stubs
I completely disagree with this. Stubs are not harder to obtain. If you are saying just them giving them to us for playing, then yes. I grinded events for 2 days. I got all 30 wins and every reward. In selling everything from that program, I got up to 130k or so. On top of a ton of xp towards the Featured program. They don't hand it out, but if you work for it, then stubs can be made.
I now have purchased a Trout because of event programs.

This game is absolutely NMS. But if you want the best cards quickly you gotta pay for it. I haven’t spent money have all of NL done, and angels, Yankees and red sox done. Problem is people watch twitch and see everyone with these high tier cards and have no patience. Each event can earn you 30-50k. Each BR program can earn you 50-80k. That’s not even including the actual programs. It’s absolutely doable. The better at the game you are the quicker you can do it though.

You kinda sound jealous and pathetic that other people can get it done while you have to pay for it.
Also, how would not foolishly spending my money on a video game make me poor?

I'm not jealous... I don't spend any extra money to play the show... just the price of the deluxe version every year. If I was trying to do all the collections I would spend money, but I'm not... so I don't need to. I'm a Madden player that barely plays the Show. I spend money in Madden every year, but has nothing to do with not being able to do it without. I don't waste much time grinding... to me it's boring as it gets playing solos and flipping cards. I would rather spend my time playing real games. I also don't call people idiots for spending... to me that sounds pathetic.

Just finished LS collections yesterday NMS. Got lucky on a few diamond pulls but most of it was just from grinding and flipping cards when the market was hot.
Spending money, flipping, being able to get 12-0/12-1 BR runs and super lucky pulls. I haven't done either of these and don't have one team done. Now, I could sell all my cards like Pujols, Yelich, etc. If I did that I may be able to do most of the NL. Still miles away from collections. I also got DeGrom in my only 12-1 run.

Lucky pulls. That is around 650k worth of pulls. Don't think I've pulled 200k total.

I've never gotten close to 12-0 or 12-1 in BR so I have to do it the way I do it. I bought 1 50 pack bundle early on and got nothing from it so anything duplicate I sell. I grind out for free packs and open after I had at least 25 pack to open.

It's so hard to time the market this year, the SDS bots that instantly undercut sell orders aren't helping either. The profit margin just isnt there anymore either, now you've gotta grind flip common cards...which is now just way too cumbersome.
Last weekend was good for flipping equipment. Most of it I was making 400-700 stubs per flip. Spent most of the day Saturday doing that and made like 150k in stubs. There are obvious bots that are screwing up the market. Last few years I could complete the whole LS in under 3 weeks just flipping cards. This year if it wasn't for pulling Trout and a few other diamonds I'd still be grinding away.
I guess it's gotta be baby steps then huh? Maybe I'll grind some out tonight
Not really baby step but a little slow going. I put in as many buy orders as possible and then sell as soon as I got it. Was getting around 30k an hour in stubs. That helped me almost finish up the NL and finally did after pulling Scherzer from free packs.

if you can actually read English, you would have been able to comprehend the fact that i never said spending money was stupid....i said that spending money TO BUY PACKS is stupid. Every year between the forums and multiple forms of social media, people ask the question "I have XX amount of stubs....should i buy packs?" and hundreds of comments come pouring in, all saying the same thing. "DO NOT BUY PACKS!!" They buy packs anyway because it's "fun" and soon after post how disappointed they are that they wasted all their stubs or they bought $100 in stubs to buy two 50 packs only to pull 3 gold Robbie Rays or something.
Those people are idiots. And i stand by that.
