Hi all.
The team is aware and investigating the recent issues with 120hz output and the impact it is having on matchmaking for PS users.
As other users have mentioned - if you're having troubles finding a match, you may want to try turning off the 120hz output option in the PlayStation settings.
- Settings -> Screen and Video -> Video Output -> Enable 120hz Output: Off
I'll reply again when I get further updates from the team.
EDIT: I know other users here on the forums have already mentioned it, but if turning off the 120hz output option resolved the issue for you, please reply and let me know. Thank you for your patience.
Hi Victor. I just switched the 120 hz output option off on my PS5 and Events seems to be working now. Hoping that this would not affect my game experience at all, I remain waiting for you to solve the issue.

Seriously? I don’t understand why every single year we have these ridiculous issues so often, especially at the beginning of the season. When do you plan to actually treat your consumer base with the respect we deserve ? We pay enormous amounts of money for a fun and functional game, but are constantly met with garbage programming and even worse server issues regardless of the massive revenue we provide. Show the player base respect by investing a lot more into all that makes this game “fun” for us. It’s the end of April…. enough already.
You are right, you don't understand. Leave it at that.
I also don’t understand silly responses like yours…. Maybe you don’t expect better , but I certainly do. We should NOT be accepting of refresh rate issues shutting down our ability to play online. We’ve paid for functionality that isn’t being provided ….

Talk to Sony Playstation. They were the ones who rolled out the VRR update this week.

Man if all you people complaining were so good and know it all you should stop whining and put in an application.
By the same vein, if you’re not a doctor don’t complain if your surgery goes wrong. If you’re not a mechanic, don’t complain if the guy you paid to fix your car does a lousy job. If you’re not a chef, don’t complain if the meal you ordered isn’t cooked. That’s how you sound. That’s what you’re saying.

That's so true that guys logic is all out of whack we spend a lot of money our opinions matter

Turning off 120hz did work to allow me to play online... But this is DEFINITELY NOT A FIX. I have a nice monitor and a PS5, solely to take advantage of better refresh rates. You trying to tell me that I upgraded $800 worth of equipment, just for yall to nerf me??

That fixed the problem!! Do you know when I'll be able enable 120hz again? Thx!!

I recently switched from a PS4 to a PS5. Even after " Enable 120hz Output: Off" I cannot play online with my ps5 game. I can play on line with the ps4 version, with the typical lag when batting. Such a sweet game playing on the PS5 game off line. Guess its back to GT 7.

Anyone else seeing flashing lights for mini seasons on 120hz? I’m gonna have a seizure

If not everyone can use the same rate online then there is an uneven playingfield and they have to discontinue crossplay.
Why would a PS4 Player invest money in DD if they are in a huge disadvantage when it comes to onlineplay? -
We believe the issue has been identified and the team is working to get it resolved asap. Thank you fall for your responses and reports.

Not trying to be political. It was just easier than typing out some long statement about equality.
