NHL does not let you both aim/shoot with one button…you still have to do both separately. You haven’t answered my questions in the previous thread btw….conventionally.

It was someone else’s question. Show me in NHL where you can aim/shoot simultaneously with one button. I play that game every year and haven’t seen it.

Simulation to a point is fine, but when that simulation has more control than the player….it’s gone too far. You have to play your opponent and the Sim/RNG at the same time.

Was Zone guy since The show released on ps2. Switched to directional a few years back. Haven't looked back. The whole RNG argument - well Zone is just as RNG imo and Baseball as a sport is total RNG.

6 years playing online, thousands upon thousands of games, earned every thing possible (WS/12-0) multiple times….and there’s still times I want to pull my hair out in frustration with the way this game tries it’s hardest to keep your opponent relevant during the game.
Simulation to a point is fine, but when that simulation has more control than the player….it’s gone too far. You have to play your opponent and the Sim/RNG at the same time.

While in PA, you had to flick up the right analog stick to the side of the plate where the pitch went (L, M, R). Timing Hitting does not have these features. Also, the timing windows for Directional and PA were considerably shorter than in Zone. I have not read/heard if there are different timing windows this year, based on the different methods of hitting.
There was no directional flipping aspect to analog. Just trying to push a narrative to rile people up.

Yes, I read the manuals in past years and this year, did you? There was "directional flicking" with PA. You could still make contact sometimes by just flicking straight up, but flicking to the location of the pitch got you better contact, especially on higher levels with the smaller PCI.
This did/does not apply to Zone plus Analog, however. In Zone plus Analog you just flick up for normal swing, hold back then up for power swing, and flick to the side for contact swing.

That’s why the game will force pitches more into the zone…regardless of user input. Just sit back and wait for it.
