Mine is way higher than it has ever been. Forget how to pitch or lost my skills I guess. Just came off an event game where I hit the first 6 balls inside the pci with good timing. Zero hits. Early on an outside slider (in the pci also) was my first hit in the 3rd. I won that game but what is the use of good timing swings inside the pci? How about all the perfect releases that don't go inside the PAR. Isn't that what it's for? Guess you don't see these things?

Op, you haven’t figured out that is the balance for you spamming pitches in the dirt?
    .

Honestly I've never understood the people who say throwing low offspeed should be penalized. The penalty is giving up walks. Walk 4 times and you score a run. Trust me, those "dirtballers" won't throw in the dirt very long if they give up walk after walk after walk. And that's when they have to come into the zone to challenge and THAT'S when you punish them and score all those runners. In other words; baseball 101

But yeah you keep chasing? I'm gonna throw in the dirt all game long. As I should. Anyone who tries to even think otherwise needs to change hobbies.

I’ll be honest, I used to come on here and complain about this when I first started playing Ranked regularly. That was about 2018.

I’ve been noticing the exact same thing in the MLB this year. Just last night I watched Jesse Winker see 22 pitches in 2 appearances because pitchers refused to pitch to him. This is why he leads the league in BB.

Is it frustrating and boring when pitchers refuse to give in and throw in the zone? Yes! Does it happen in rl? Also yes.

Should the MLB make a rule about throwing consecutive offspeed pitches in the dirt?

Nobody would ever suggest or agree to that. Why is it in this video game?

If it were me, I'd love my opponent to constantly throw outside the zone. I'll take all those walks and absolutely destroy him once the pitcher confidence is gone.

Lol just played another game where my hits went no where and he kept hitting broken bat singles followed by bombs on pitches that went down the middle when I had good releases for inside pitches lolol… it’s a script, the same thing happens in most of my losses, sure I get beat by better players but this [censored] is sad, I can tell if I’m better within two innings ( to be fair I’m above average slightly). But I consistently lose to trash players due to the aforementioned issues

Update… just played a guy that hit 9 weak singles…. While I had good contact for outs the whole game, this [censored] is flawed as heck

I was 15-9 yesterday in the event. Just one game I mentioned, I had 6 balls on good swings inside the pci not be a hit but early in the pci was my first hit in the 3rd. First two innings of really good swings that you are supposed to get rewarded for but just don't. If I'm off or can't read the pitcher I am fine with that. When I am doing what I am supposed to and never getting rewarded, it just sucks the fun out of it.

Yeah, if im off and doing bad, I chalk it up to just that. But then again I wonder why I don't get all the broken bat hits when im off

Gotta love the “timing hitting contact swing” combo… this brain dead mechanic (timing) was added so everybody has a chance to win without actually putting in the work to be good and win with a little bit of skill

Maybe it was put in as a option for folks that have disabilities and cant use anything else?

Fact is, timing isnt a problem like yall suggest. Zero top players are using it, just like every year its ZONE. If ya lose to timing players, ya might not be as good as you think you are, maybe? I bet, there are very few, if any, Timing players that are in HoF divisions or higher.
