This is BS, spend hundreds of dollars on stubs, and countless hours flipping bronze cards for 30 at a time just for others to cheat
It does, but in the past this kind of thing has always happened on Irrelevant equipment or unlockables. In past years they got banned quicker though which doesn't seem to be the case so far

It's happened before, but I don't recall it ever being this bad or on such high profile cards. In the past I feel like they would move stubs on low traffic low value cards.
I think the same person or group of people may have moved stubs on 88 Francisco Alvarez a week or two ago. I was flipping him for an hour or so and the same this happened. All the supply got bought up, there were a few maxed out sales, and then it slowly returned to normal.

You don't for sure, but once the bans roll out you see a lot less instances of this happening and a lot more posts on here about people being banned for "inappropriate logos". Tbh it was a fairly small problem in the past. SDS didn't really have a need to comment on it. Its worse so far this year for sure. I've accidentally found it happening like 3 times already

Here is the issue as I see it.

If it is a stub seller then their account does need to get banned but let's not pretend that they would not have another account up and running by tomorrow and go back to doing the same thing.

I have a hard time believing that it is an individual gamer as the whole thing does not make sense for a single player not selling stubs.
Lastly, even if SDS finds the culprits and bans them then we will never know about it. They don't discuss bans. They could be banning hundreds of accounts a day for market manipulation but we would never know. No, it is easier just to accuse them of ignoring the problem. Lets face it people caught transferring stubs are not coming to the forum to complain about being banned.

I’ve been monitoring trout today as I have a number in my mind I’m willing to pay in stubs. Just keep refreshing now and they are going off for a lot more than normal at a rapid rate. Just came to the forum to see if anybody else noticed and found the thread
DeGrom just had a 550k and 700k transaction go thru back to back too
There are only 10 DeGroms available at this minute and the prices ranger from 288K to 666K. Of course there will be fluctuations
I'm still baffled at how people think things are being manipulated with these high in demand cards.
Trout had about 50 transactions occur within one minute. Maybe I'm misreading, but are you trying to say that's normal? It absolutely 100% is someone manipulating the market. It's not even a question.
Not saying it is normal. I don't use the market enough to know. Just trying to understand how using these high in demand cards for for any type of market manipulation or stubs transfers is viable considering they are high in demand. Seems like it would be very hard to pull off.
Well it’s easier the less available a card is, and the higher the range the more you can transfer. If you want to sell you friend some stubs, it’s easier to buy 4 Trout cards and change the price than it is the buy all 4572 Corey Seagers and change the price.

Just look at the completed trout orders (you can also go to Reddit for more explanation), but at exactly 7:33am a ton of trouts live series sold for a range between 125k and 700k. With similar moves taking place in the minutes before. Someone(s) are clearly manipulating the market (violating TOS) and need to be banned forever with those bans announced to discourage this kind of behavior going forward. It’s hard to keep market integrity if some people don’t have to play by the same rules.
Haven't paid attention to that specifically, but when market was introduced i thought it was a bad idea if they didn't put a cap on players. I will never pay over 100k for any fake card.
So the fake card is an issue, what about the fake currency? Why 100k?

Friend B needs to find a card that gets max stubs. Find one. Start churning back and forth.

Trout sold at 125k, Which was friend B, who then listed it for 700k and Friend A purchased it after he bought the ones in the way.
700k-125k = 575k
Friend B takes the 575k and buys another Trout or Degrom at 150-200k then sells to Friend A at 600-700k
600k-200k= 400k
400k+575k =975k
Just do that until a million?

Friend A tells Friend B to put in a buy order for Trout at 100k.
Friend A buys a ton of Trouts.
Friend A sells all the Trouts up to and including the 100k which is now the highest bid.
Friend B lists his new Trout for 700k.
Friend A buys it.
Rinse and repeat until friend B has 1,000,000.
Mind you in giving friend B a million friend A is willing to give up about twice that depending on how many normal people notice.
