Walked into a Bestbuy and saw it on a big screen in 2008. Matched graphics with statistics and logic (APBA baseball was a childhood favorite of mine). Lastly, when the Yankees suck, I can create my own reality.

I've been playing baseball games since triple play baseball mvp base all every edition of the show. The one thing I always had was my brother, he was 9 years older than me& I am 29 now. My brother died of a overdose last year July second and it just ruined my season let alone left me lost in life I lost my joy I found in playing among other things I hope it returns. Me and my brother been cubs fans since as long as I can remember it started with 162 game seasons vs the cpu but then my brother ventured online, some of you know we played online together for years I would pitch he would bat and vice versa.. 1000 of games streak after streak win after win and the losses that we took way to seriously but we loved it starting out takeing our losses then rising the ranks to #1 together.. then drugs took ahold and are relationship soured and for at least 2-3years he barely came around and played as drugs destroyed him and our bond as brothers bit he would still ask how it was going I could tell him about games now that he's gone really only the good memories stay. Its wild what makes a memory pop anyway He is why I play and will continue to play the show online I wouldve never went online if he hadn't and I am thankful for all the hours we got to spend Ballin and just hanging out one day I hope to share some of those same experiences with my kid. But in recap my brother & my love of sports is why I play the show. If you read this far please tell me why you play the show.
I sure miss the lobbies and banter of us original online members playing regular teams

I ordered MLB 2K7 and they shipped me MLB The Show 07 by mistake, I like it and have been buying it ever since.

I remember having some heated games against you back in the day. I was tacosaban on like MLB the show 12 I think it was lol. I've only played the show twice this will be my 3rd year. Got back into baseball last year. Madden just lost my interest with EA's greed and never doing anything fresh. Anyway...I think you used to whoop up on me but those were some fun days.

I’ve been a baseball fan since I could remember (37 years old). It was the first sport I played as a kid that I was actually good at (played baseball before soccer, go-figure right) and it’s always stuck with me. I love the sport. It’s my favorite sport, far beyond my number two sport of soccer. I’ve played EVERY baseball game you can think of. All-Star Baseball on PS and N64, Ken Griffey Jr’s Winning Run, MVP Baseball. MLB 2K. You name it. I’ve played it. True franchise player and love it. MVP Baseball was my jam, but once MLB 2k took over, I lost interest in the game (2K is the reason I stopped playing football and basketball games). When the show dropped, I was all in, and have been playing MLB The Show since the beginning. I know they’re not showing franchise as much love, but we’ll get there (M2O will eventually become franchise in a couple more years), and I continue to buy it every year. I just need year-to-year saves back so I don’t have to start over again.

Later we got a playstation 1 and again we had a baseball game on it, again not sure what's it called, me and my brothers played homerun derby all day against each other, Barry bonds was in itNext baseball game I bought was mlb the how on ps3 with Joe Mauer on the cover wich 08 I think

Baseball was my life during my childhood and into my adult life. Too old for grass stains so the show isclose to action on the diamond as I can get. I can smell the grass qnd the hotdogs if my neighbors stay quiet.

MLB 06. I thought Big Papi was pretty cool. I took a hiatus after 07. Started playing again on mlb 14 on the ps3 and was hooked. I’m strictly a franchise guy. I really wish the show would go back to the MLB 14 menu format though, I believe they dropped that format after 17.
Baseball was really the only sport I understood and still consistently enjoy. I don’t really care for the nfl or nba. But nba live was my second favorite sports game growing up in tandem with the show.

I am from the Netherlands and i always loved American sports. I saw MLB a couple years a go on tv and i liked it very much so bought MLB the show18 and from then bought it each year.
Now we have espn in a tv package so i can look it more often.

ill tell you why I stopped. Bought a $500.PS5,, I bought a $800 tv with all the gaming capability including HDMI 2.1. I now can't play on-line with my new system. Was happier with my PS4 and all the lag. Yes, I can still play on the PS4 game, but I'm $1,400 poorer. Thanks SDS.

Love baseball and so do my two sons. Its an added way I can connect with them now that they're grown and miles apart.
