Cole price skyrocketing

I started to try and collect the Yankees yesterday. I have everyone except Cole but now every time I check him his price has been on a continuous rise he’s up from 85k to 122k. Seems odd to have such a huge price rise out of nowhere since we have no games going on it’s not like he’s off to a 3-0 start and pitching flawlessly. For those who have used him, is he just untouchable this year and people are starting to catch on and buy his card?

My guess is people have switched from using Oswalt as their #2 in events to using Cole, since legends are not allowed for this event.

Its because the event is live series players.

Every player over 90 has skyrocketed over the past week before the event. They are rare in packs all of sudden.

That’s why I always take the plunge early with collections. They are always cheaper out the gate besides golds.

Cole is nothing special. I’d take Mize, Pearson, and Kopech over him and they are all cheaper.
It’s just because of the Yankees collection in my opinion. Giambi is pretty good too.

Cole gets whacked a bit more than he should. Personally, he should have outlier FB, but doesn't.

I wanted Mantle early so I could use him all year. Last year I looked forward to Babe Ruth all year. I got him as fast as I could. And a few weeks later was burnt out and quit the game for the year.
This year I was most excited for that Mantle. Was worth the price to use him out the gate. Will be nice getting him to blood diamond too. I’m close.
I wanted Mantle forever and they finally got his rights. My favorite team is the Tigers (I’m from Michigan), but my grandpa’s favorite player was Mickey Mantle. He was also a Tigers fan first. He just loved Mantle.
So I grew up as a kid hearing all these stories about him. So when I heard he was in the game this year, it was an easy decision.

I’m going to buy that Mize card eventually since I’m a Tiger fan myself. I really just wanted to get the Yankees done bc I’m almost done with the AL just really need Trout but that Mize card looks pretty good. I’m excited to try him out.

Um this isn't true at all the mid diamonds are exponentially higher, judge was at 70k last year and fell to 30k in a couple weeks ffs

Cole's price is insane. I bought for 72K maybe a week or so after launch. Over 100K now

He’s pretty good man. Really nice pitch selection. His cutter and his slurve are great.

That’s good to hear I’m excited to get him I might buy him today but I’ve been hesitant to spend my stubs on anything other than live series right now because I want to get the collections done. Cobb was my favorite card last year and he’s another guy I really want to add but that’s 80k between him and Mize and I’m sitting on 150.

I pulled Cole in a pack and noticed he was 100k. I sold him right away figuring he was going to go down. Haha. I mean, what reason could he possibly cost that much. It's crazy.
