Agreed, but if we are playing into the 14th inning and burning up our bullpens for a few ratings points I'd rather have a friendly quit and let my pen live to see another day.

I sent a friendly earlier today in the first inning. My opponent chose progressive field in the middle of the day and I literally could not see the ball in the top half of the zone and above.

Of course he declined (grrr) but he quit an inning or two later after playing me for a bit.

There and fucking Safeco grind my gears

Ah yes. Is the classic "let-the-pause-timer-hit-zero-then-quickly-offer-a-friendly-quit" still a thing?

No, just sending one in general lol

No this is definitely still a thing. Been tried on me a few times but never went for it. There was a guy that posted not too long ago about this, he fell for it lol.

Is Safeco bad as well? I love seeing games there but have never played a RS game there. Why do people still choose MLB parks?

Yea I'm about to join the home only club. Going into a daytime stadium with a sun filled batters eye is just ridiculous. Or they use Snell in a stadium where his release point has a white background. Honestly night games should be the only option in H2H

I know the glare from the sun is in the spirit of realism but there are plenty of "real" elements that have been glazed over in the spirit of a video game. They should really abandon this feature. The shadows on the field would still be okay but the blinding glare really needs to go.

It's like freezing the kicker in football. Almost never works, but it's worth a shot. That's probably what people think when they do it. Why not?

I bet it happens quite a lot where someone accidentally accepts.

In mlb 19 I've accepted 2 or 3 friendly quits while in front. All of them were in the early innings, it was always very close (so much that it might as well have been tied) and it was because of unplayable conditions (severe lag, invisible pitchers).

I'll sometimes accept a friendly if its the first inning and nothing has happened yet. But not if you wait until I have two guys on to ask.

I wont do it on events because there's nothing to lose by losing.

Last night I went into RS with the wrong team I forgot to change to my main team. I had an all Giants team. I did have Mays and McCovey. I asked for a friendly quit before game started. I had a Gold Pitcher from the REDS. I guess he denied thinking it would be an easy win. Good thing I had good players on my bench. His team was stacked with FoF players a Maxed out Cap and some other diamonds. Pretty sure he had all diamond team. I subbed in Sandberg, Mantle, FoF Moncada. and another player leaving me only Oritiz on the bench. I had Silver Posey and Bronze Crawford. I won 2-1 on a 2 run HR by Mantle in the 3rd. He was able to hit a triple with his CAP and then stole home and my catcher dropped a third strike that was in the 7th. He was pitching with Glavin. I won 2-1.

Yeah, these players who are so bent to win after battling deep into extras always amaze me. Unless my opponent has been a total cheeseball, I’m usually happy to call it a draw and move on at that point.

Lol I found a good one for that, haven’t done it because it’s bush league. A particular minor league park and you can’t see Snell’s release point

Yep. I stuck it out 14 the other day bc dude was bunt dancing and scored his run off a slow roller where my fielder did a weird move away from the ball right when I got to it, like he was afraid of it or something

haha love when people do that...when they're down by 6 runs and have 1 hit all game...then take they're top 6th at bat, only to ask for a friendly before throwing a pitch in the bottom half...hoping i am an idiot and will let them slide. Common bro! Take the L like a man/woman!

I went up 10-0 on a guy earlier this week and he just continuously paused and unpaused to run out his time before attempting to replace the forfeit with a friendly quit. Of course I saw it coming and was just waiting for it. Sent the dude a message calling him out for that garbage, and he proceeded to tell me that I suck and I just got lucky. Yeah, I was lucky to score 10 runs in an RS game and hold him to 0. Haha, gotta love the tools out there.
