Anyone ever try a full platoon game?

Run all lefty and switch hitters and then load up the bench with righties. Most pitchers rn are righty, if you get a lefty starter just sub in the bench for the non-switch hitters. I hit righty-righty much better than lefty-lefty so I’d much rather have 5-6 innings of advantage to hopefully build up a lead. Switch hitters still give me some chance if all else goes wrong.

That's the dumbest idea ever. Pitching switch, you deplete your bench and have no pinch hitters left.

I'm still hoping we get a DH layer this year. Although I do enjoy trying to hit with the pitchers. It wouod just be too nice to be able to have 2 first baseman in the order.

I mean, later in the year with more switch hitters it can certainly be fun to take a whole lineup of them into a few games. I know I did last year which I feel had one of the best depths for switch hitters ever.
That being said, I only did it a few times for my own entertainment/enjoyment…can’t imagine limiting yourself to only opposite handed matchups is really the best way to improve or win. I’d contend that as a pitcher I’d be able to pick up your swing tendencies even better since you’re always in the same position.

The cutter/slider is the only pitch lefty lefty that really matters.maybe curves. the others... batting right probably wont be of much help.

I would if it mattered. But I am not so hot Righty on Lefty pitching in this game. I use a PCI so being oppo handed doesnt really make a big difference.

They said in the DD stream that the DH will never be in DD.

Last year I tried to run an all switch hitter lineup. I would try that again before I try the platoon idea. You are basically gambling that the other team is starting a righty. Plus to complicate, after you sub out your left hand hitters for a righty, the other teams bullpen will dominate. Most bullpens/ good relievers in the show are righties.
