I don’t think they would fix it this year. It might cause several side-effects.
Of course, I hope it to be fixed, but based on nearly 10 years experience of playing The Show, it seems to be possible at least in the next year’s work. -

Of course, I hope it to be fixed, but based on nearly 10 years experience of playing The Show, it seems to be possible at least in the next year’s work.They don't tend to patch things after release like this but they did patch the all star stadium last year & being able to use the cover athlete the same way he plays in real life seems like something that should take precedent right away and be patched although I don't seem them patching the postseason format unfortunately.

You can not use Othani as a DH and pitch. The show sold us a dream

No the mlb didn't do the rule until late March the game was already pretty much finished

I can confirm that if Ohtani is the SP, he can't DH regardless which spot in the rotation he is in at least in AL parks. It shouldn't matter though as the DH is universal now. HUGE oversight by SDS and hopefully they patch it ASAP.

I’m guessing this is already in the works. I’m just surprised SDS hasn’t confirmed it yet.

I’m guessing that will be in MLB the Show 23, along with the new playoff format, but not in this year’s game.

Unless it is truly a bug they won't patch it. Seems like too big of a change and it probably affects a number of inter-related systems behind the scenes.

I know you're talking about franchise here. But for the most part they are DD focused idc what they say. For DD you can now use SPs to hit before you could not. This is kinda big in regards to him being able to bat but you have to sub him after the game starts so you still can't DH him or start him in the field. It is kind a pathetic he did hit like 46 home runs last year yet you can't put him in your lineup

In custom leagues can only use him at plate when he pitches but have to give up your DH spot for rest of game….all this hype and advertising and Ohtani barely even playable

Right and when he's not pitching you want him to bat obviously so every game you have 1 less bench spot from the start. But it guess it's same cuz your 13th spot is ohtani.
t's just annoyed AF having to sub this way and it's different if home or away. Sds fail again on ohtani -
I have not played franchise in a couple of years, but isn’t there an option to turn off the DH so he could hit for himself when he pitches?
