Doesn't really matter what item you flip, just look for decent amounts between the sell now and buy now listings. Also remember quantity over quality, it's better to flip a ton of items for let's say 200 stubs per flip than to look for hitting the jackpot on every flip.
This is the way! My thoughts on flipping are in order of importance...#1 Volume, #2 Ease of the Flip, #3 Margin. If I can do something a lot and with ease, then the margin is much less important. Try and think about things that are happening in the game and the things people are buying and selling.
Last year was my first year and I learned a lot as the year went along. The thing that I always did was think about why something worked when it did. I would try to flip something and then would realize that it worked well or didn't work well. I would always take time to think about that and it really helped me out as the season went. The way I flip will change as the year goes along...there are just different elements that bring on the volume necessary to really make flipping worthwhile.
There are also a lot of things over the next few weeks that should open up some more margins on things. I feel like once games start and people start seeing how players are doing and you have inside edge changing day to day, it can really bring in some bigger margins.
Thanks for this. I appreciate it. yeah I definitely tried to follow the trends especially with the innings programs the way they were I knew the live series diamonds would be mass money makers towards the end of each inning. Or when a conquest came out and prospect packs or 42s came out. I've tried the Anime cards, Cover cards...those don't move at all. LS diamonds, the margins are so volatile, gold, silver and bronze the margins are nonexistent.
Someone mentioned the Nike program helped them make money by buying the teams that were in the program, but by the time I got to it, they were back to normal. I know a lot of this is simply me needing to be patient. But I'm so frigging bored at work, I wish I could utilize my time by stubbin.
Ps: After I have finished my work of course

I realize nobody wants to share their secrets to flipping, but I sm totally shutout this year. Last year, I made enough to fund the whole game but I can't find anything that will make money or move right now. I know the first few days, it was all sharks so I didn't even bother. But now, I am just stumped.
I realize I am still extremely new to this game and I'm sure a bunch of you have great tips. I legitimately can't find anything with a big enough margin, and any diamonds aren't moving at all. Are there any tips anyone is willing to share?
Commons and bronze flip fast, anything from 20 and up in quantity will get you stubs, it will take time. There are silver and bronze you can flip for 60-100 consistently. I am only focused on flipping to complete collections and hope for good pack luck, I pulled Acuna last night right before I got him as the FOTF NLE. That was crazy.

Yet, people keep posting that they've made a bunch of money flipping. Wish I knew the secrets. I guess last year was far too easy.
Those people are:
A. Lying.
B. Spending so much time on the market they’re not even playing.
C. Lying. On this day (equivalent) 2 years ago, I made only 10k on 95 flips, a paltry 113 or so per. Took about 3 weeks before I started getting decent returns.
This too shall pass…

Traditionally when I start a post I think about tagging you, @the_dragon1912, @arvcpa_MLBTS and several others because I know you'll have the 411. @CDNmoneymaker93_MLBTS has been my Show sponsor as well haha.
I just need to be patient.

Most cards still have a bit of margin to work with. Remember everyone is looking for those high priced elites where you get 2000 per flip. But look for lower hanging fruit. You might have to buy and flip more cards, which of course is more time consuming, but there are still coins to be made.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought I was going to go right in stubbin' but I'm scratching my head.

Thanks for this thread. Very helpful.

Ballplayer perks, minor league uniforms, MLB stadiums. This time of year, those will have consistently decent margins.
Can't flip this year. It crushes my soul.

Sarcasm? Or for real hahaha. ..I can never tell on here anymore.
Yeah. This is going to be a huge part of the game for many this year so I figured I'd open up a discussion.

No, I was being serious. This is great information to know.

You also have to consider that alot more people are trying to flip right now because SDS, and streamers posting wys to make fast stubs (thus watering those options down) took away most of the ways we could make stubs last year.
Last year we had sellable Henchmen. This year we have non-sellable henchmen.
Last year we had 3 bosses. This year we have more and half of them aren't sellable.
Last year the Prospects from the USA Conquest map made you good stubs because they were hard to come by (6/30 per each run through) and this year they're handing out prospect packs like they're Oprah handing out cars. (One method that was working was loading up your roster with AS batters and hitting the 10 homeruns in Mini Seasons.
All you had to do was get that in one game then reset the run and you could rinse and repeat. You would get two packs of two choices. So you got 4 prospects cards that were around 4-5K.
Now they're 1-2K.
And with the new QS prices; investing may even take a small hit.
I'll PM you with what I'm thinking of doing.

I had a lot of luck flipping Prospects last year. When the market tanked for the West series, I started buying. Not so much a flip, but an "investment". We'll see....

After trying different cards all day I am now down 3k.
Wow!!!!!
I'm gonna try what everyone is suggesting, thanks for the DMs. And just say no to supercharged...how can you make money off those? I tried going in on McCutchen when he started hot and within minutes his price dropped over 1,500 stubs and I Took a bath. And Tyler O'Neil who is most likely getting it for his game is up over 6k but still no margin.
-
I haven't flipped cards at all this year. I've pretty happy so far with the cards I already have getting them naturally through game. Also I have no rush trying to finish the live series cards either. My mind will probably change in a week or two though. Especially with the new event starting and I have no cards for those teams.
-
To say all golds only profit 50 is far from the truth. There's only a few gold's that don't profit more than 50, and a few that profit nothing. There's 7 pages of live gold's. It takes 5 minutes to put the orders in. Go play a game. Rinse repeat. Very quick easy stubs.

every time ive checked the market (which is every hour or 2) since early release, margins have been crappy flipping not worth the time.
3 times in the last 2 days i stumbled into good margins looking for something else.
each time was getting cards for the collection and flipping enough to be about 2-3k over where i started and it only lasted about half hour or so before they closed.
so at this point i mainly focus on earning packs and selling those whole the prices are high, flipping will come later. -

Wait for Tops Now players, the first monthly program was when i made huge gains last year.
If Tyler o'Neil keeps hitting like he did today he could get a very nice card.

I try to stay with a handful of cards so I don't forget what I've bought but that's just not a reality.
Try using a spreadsheet to keep track. You can keep track which cards, the quantity of those cards, what you bought them for, what you are selling them for, what the profit will be (taking out the 10% of course) per card and total profit.

Thanks for all the tips everyone. Wow, the supercharged cards were insane. I appreciate the DMs with tips. I will be happy to share back once I stumble on one.
