Pitcher Stamina Fixed!
-
The best is when you give up a double or something to the first batter you face and your pitcher is tired now...
-
@a761506_PSN I only use pinpoint but what interface you use shouldn't make a difference in how your pitcher's stamina depletes.

With meter, you control the extra “umph” (pitch power) you put on the ball by extending the meter past the minimum point. Seems to me, meter is going to become the de facto method, it’s the only one I believe that lets you control pitch power and you are definitely going to have to control it.

Yea they definitely tried to fix it, but they need to find a happy medium here, pitchers get tired really quick

You’re not describing the fix or the problem. If relievers are tired after 8 pitches that’s not good. And the problem that needed fixed was starters throwing 150 pitches and still having green stamina.
I have noticed in conquest my starter and relievers dying out faster. That being said that’s a micro sample size.
I’m sure someone that plays a lot may be able to give more insight into this. Before we say “it’s fixed” let’s get some data.
Stamina will go quicker in conquest and any other 3 inning mode.

I doubt thats what they intended. You dont waste resources to develop a feature as popular as pinpoint and then make it useless a year or two later

On another note, I love that the cpu will change pitchers in 3 inning games instead of waiting for the cpu pitcher to give up 5 runs or come up to bat. Conquest is much more interesting when the cpu is programmed to play as a player would.
This is indeed a nice change!!!!

Stamina for conquest is awful. Starting pitchers get tired very quickly. If you don’t have a quick one, two, three inning, it’s awful.

This is a moronic statement.

I did not know that. Thank you

SDS does not intend to make any particular input the “de facto” [sic] method due to a design flaw with stamina.

Make sure you are warming up pitchers before putting them in. put him in cold and you get the whistle after the first pitch, which is also something they fixed.
thats cq im sure other 3 inning games would be the same. -

It’s really not great; they change pitchers way too frequently. I did a test in one game and had a 3 pitch inning, and they still changed the pitcher in the next.
It really undermines the patience component and working the count. And having my SP gassed at 12-13 pitches sucks, start losing control before facing 6 batters; swear I’ve thrown more walks today that I did in entire runs of the US map last year.

My last game, taking over giants stronghold….I faced 6 pitchers, won 3-0, but their pitchers faced 2 batters max before changing.

It's working exactly the way it's supposed too. 3 inning games you shouldn't have your starter more than 2 innings. 3 inning games lean more toward lineup construction.
I have played 3 inning games and 9 inning games and it's balanced better than it has been in a long time so yeah i think it's great!
