Pitcher Stamina Fixed!

Tired of all my relievers getting tired after 8 pitches. P.S Can we turn off that stupid whistle?
3 batter minimum with relievers that are gassed after 6 pitches is awesome in br /s

Your pitchers will not tire nearly as quickly if you don’t throw max strength pitches. But, if you juice every pitch, as everyone did in every year before this, they get tired much quicker. Starters too. This is going to help the game tremendously. Hitting corners with maxed pitches will become much rarer. And the balance of throwing balls with strikes will force fewer max pitches to be thrown in general. No more pitchers chucking every FB at 102, or every slider breaking incredibly sharply off to the lower opposite corner.
-
That's great until all of you time in conquest is spent in the bullpen.
-
Its going to be a major adjustment for every returning player, and it should increase offense tremendously.
It’s a whole new set of failure/success people will need to get used to. Pitchers aren’t going to have microscopic ERA’s any longer, they’re all going to get hit once players realize they have absolutely no choice but to make this adjustment and throw lower quality pitches far more consistently.
So, pitchers will get hit, hitters should be able to rake. No more teams full of .200 hitters. I hope it doesn’t increase the rage quits. I haven’t had one yet, but hoping they figured out a solution to that as well.

How does one throw a “max strength pitch” with pinpoint?

Idk, I don’t use pinpoint. Pinpoint seems too easy to master, I hope they made it brutal to use it this season and deter its use.

they messed up stamina really bad in 3 inning games. relievers cant even get through an inning without going into the red by the 10th pitch
-
On another note, I love that the cpu will change pitchers in 3 inning games instead of waiting for the cpu pitcher to give up 5 runs or come up to bat. Conquest is much more interesting when the cpu is programmed to play as a player would.

They can, you just need to throw lesser pitches. I can only speak for meter (which I think should be the sole option available so everyone is on the same level), and when you throw an absolute minimum pitch that clicks at the lowest point on the meter and theoretically gives you the greatest control, you can throw many more of them before tiring. And when you run the meter to the highest point, that’s where you become shot within 6 pitches. So, the obvious solution is in a balanced approach. Min pitches when you think you can get away with them, or for waste pitches, max only in critical spots, and somewhere in between at varying levels on all the others. That’s how it’s going to have to be (because you’d ruin your staff and pen if you fought it) and it’s far more realistic this way. I’m all for it. The game should be as realistic as possible.

The best is when you give up a double or something to the first batter you face and your pitcher is tired now...

@a761506_PSN I only use pinpoint but what interface you use shouldn't make a difference in how your pitcher's stamina depletes.

With meter, you control the extra “umph” (pitch power) you put on the ball by extending the meter past the minimum point. Seems to me, meter is going to become the de facto method, it’s the only one I believe that lets you control pitch power and you are definitely going to have to control it.
-
Yea they definitely tried to fix it, but they need to find a happy medium here, pitchers get tired really quick

You’re not describing the fix or the problem. If relievers are tired after 8 pitches that’s not good. And the problem that needed fixed was starters throwing 150 pitches and still having green stamina.
I have noticed in conquest my starter and relievers dying out faster. That being said that’s a micro sample size.
I’m sure someone that plays a lot may be able to give more insight into this. Before we say “it’s fixed” let’s get some data.
Stamina will go quicker in conquest and any other 3 inning mode.

I doubt thats what they intended. You dont waste resources to develop a feature as popular as pinpoint and then make it useless a year or two later

This is indeed a nice change!!!!

Stamina for conquest is awful. Starting pitchers get tired very quickly. If you don’t have a quick one, two, three inning, it’s awful.

This is a moronic statement.
