Alex Manoah is the Blue Jays FOTF
This makes no sense. A rookie that has 20 games under his belt with a 9-2 record and a 3.77 ERA is the Face of Toronto's franchise over Vlad Jr or Bo Bichette?
Seems like they just threw a bunch of names into a hat and went with the first name they pulled.

The title of the program is misleading. So far, Acuna is the best but also totally overkill because his live series will be around the same rating. They can't do that with every big star or none of these cards will have any value. Give Vlad the FOTF at 90 while his LS is 91 or 92? That's pointless.
Obviously you're right, this guy is not the face of the Blue Jays. But he's a promising young player who will be fun to play in game with. Like I said, they should call it franchise Favorites or something else. Personally I don't care that much but it seems like a lot of people are getting hung up on the title. I doubt we'll get Juan Soto, Bryce Harper etc.

I mean besides Acuna the ones revealed so far will have live series that will be 86 overall max. Bichette definitely would have made more sense, but really its face of the franchise thats 80-86 overall. Acuna still doesn't make sense after these 5 were revealed

I think SDS is throwing us a bone since we lost our Face of the Franchise. I suppose they could have used Dansby or Riley, but those would probably be underwhelming cards.

I forgot who said Javy Baez for the Tigers. I think Goodrum, Skubal or Badoo before they give it to a newly signed FA, but you never know. -

Oh wait... he was born in FL. It's because he attended college in Toronto. Ummm, nope, he went to WVU. Ahhh... his parents are Canadian. Nah - he's of Cuban descent.

Harper is the face of the franchise…but he’s more likely to have a Cover Athlete card from preorders.

I'm so confused by their reasoning at this point. I was thinking the FOTF would represent the actualy FOTF for teams but Monoah over Vladie or Bo is crazy and giving us 2 low 90s Acuna card in the same week seems strange too. I'm lost on this

Yeah, faces of the franchise is cute and all, but it should be: "Guys on the team (keep in mind we want a mix of starting pitchers, relievers and position players, and not every team will feature their top stud.)" I guess that's not as catchy.

If they decide not to go with Salvy (TA1 last year), Merrifield is the best option. I honestly kinda want Whit over Salvy. In the minority there, but I like Whit cards.
Indians is either Ramirez or Bieber.

I want Whit too. I know they couldn't control Salvy's AS and Finest in 21, but they have a choice on this one.

Ramirez will have a LS card in the same area as a 90. So they could do him like Acuna, or give us Bieber who has really nice potential day 1. I would personally prefer Clase over both. You could have both him and Chapman day 1

The interesting part here is the 90 overall starting point, Could we be seeing a change where Dimonds start at 90 instead of 85 and as such everything will be scaled according to make live series more viable.
So Acuna would no longer be a low 90 Live he would become a 96 or 97 and Trout would be 99 of course. Very MLB 17 style
