It's not just you. Legend reveals are not as big, no changes to franchise, don't know much about DD yet. I think the hype will rapidly build on the day of the DD stream (March 31st)

I must kindly object and say you’re ridiculous……maybe you missed it, but Soto has 99 discipline….99……..that’s the max….

You are going to be real disappointed when they are revealing franchise ratings instead of DD. Don't get me wrong I would be on board with attributes maxing at 99, but I would like confirmation first
Edit: they actually have to be revealing franchise attributes now that I looked into it more. The gold Joe Mauer in the co-op feature premiere has 102 contact vs R

Nothing really big and new this year, gameplay wise. Graphics look the same, slight adjustments to pitching, same old hitting.
Only thing that could make it new and exciting is what they do with offline modes and any revamp to RS. Not optimistic though.

Last year we were all locked down with Covid and releasing a new video game like MLB 21 was a huge win.
And it was the first MLBTS game on next gen consoles.
Also it was first year on XBOX and that carried a lot of hype for fans that had not had a real baseball game on their system for a decade.
Switch crowd doesn't seem like this game is a big deal to them yet.

This is me to a T. This is the only game I have played in the last year and I play it way too much. Last year I couldn’t wait for 21 To drop, but outside of co-op mode, they have not announced a thing that has gotten me excited. The silly attribute Twitter reveals make it worse as it makes me think they really have nothing to tempt us with and it will be just a cut and paste as opposed to really maximizing the new generation systems which should happen this year.
I pre-ordered weeks ago, but haven’t turned the game on in almost a week which is super rare, that’s speaks to then”meh”. Hope they surprise me in about 8 days.

Lol that’s just the “suggested section” my man. I don’t think MLB has ever broke into the top few pages let alone front page. It’s usually below Pokémon Gold. Not Pokémon go. Gold. The game boy version from the 90s. The biggest MLB stream I’ve seen from non Devs was BeardownAUs freeze off that barely got above 1000 views. Goldy might stream for a day and multiply the MLB viewcount by 300 but that won’t last.
Maybe if SDS could find that “host” button they could help grow the game on twitch but they seem extremely out of touch.

I think they spent way too much time trying to figure out how they could put a functioning game on the Switch Crossplay instead of concentrating more on Nex Gen systems. They seem to be taking a step back.

No one is really hyped to fight with the servers…again..and then read 1500 complaint posts about the servers…again. It’s the calm before the storm, most of us have to mentally prepare for another summer grind as well.

From 2017 late jammed bombs and texas leaguers to last years corner painting PPP and no pci/secondary pci home runs/foul tips off the elbows.
It’s fun to play, but come on now.
People know SDS has people bowling with the bumpers on against people playing the game straight up and they will never admit it. It’s a game, why not just let people fail.
Have a real baseball mode and a kiddie lane/guard rails no gutter balls learn how to play mode…..

First year I won't be buying day one since 17. I just got burnt out on moments after the last couple years. Quit playing in October or so and honestly haven't missed it.
I'll probably pick it up later in the summer on sale, but right now I have zero excitement.

I do kind of suck at MLBTS, but I'm a VERY good bowler.

Like previous years I blame hype, gameplay and all other technical difficulties (freeze offs) on lockdowns .
If this years game isnt up to par I feel it will be because of The current events in Europe and high Gas prices.
