Honestly if you have time to play and plan on grinding out all the content there is no need to buy packs. Last year I ran through the initial content in about a week. I had some help from a buddy that I game share with too. You get a ton of free packs

The best part of DD is the start of the year where I get to play with a gold and silver squad of my own construction…and not be self-conscious about chasing the meta cards. That is all I will need to beat the cpu and grind for better cards.
I don’t go online till about week 2 or 3, so I can afford to be patient.

I got to scratch the itch first thing….$100 for stubs then 50 pack bundle…after 1-2 golds and no return on value never buy them again.

$350, on top of the $100 edition. we ready.

Nothing right away. Usually I wait to formulate a plan of action, see what sets I can do for free or by grinding. Then I might drop 100 bucks. Now if the game is included for free on PS Plus than all bets are off.

Im buying digital deluxe. Between the freebies there, team affinity, conquest, Topps Now and the innings program, its not even worth it to blow money on packs.

Probably $50 dollars worth. Then I'll tell myself I won't buy packs the rest of the year, then proceed to spend 37.5k stubs twice a week on headliners until they are done

Nothing. I'll play the heck out of the market instead. Last year within a month of launch I was able to afford Trout, but it did take a lot of hustling.

I think maybe 200 or 300 bucks because I can and because for some reason spending money on the game triggers the NMS crowd so there is that element to it as well.

I'm pretty sure you can put Stubs into your 401k, and then use them for MLB 35.

I open the free packs from the pre-order bonus and use the 25k stubs to buy players I want.
If there is a specific card that I want day 1 that is a team collection, I may just buy a few stubs if I don’t get lucky on any pulls to complete that team out.
