Why not though? Like it or not, it is now the official baseball rules and this is at its heart a baseball “sim” supported by both MLB and the MLBPA.
I would find it stupid for us to be playing a game this year that has pitchers batting when mlb doesn’t.
Because it's a coding thing, look at all the moments between two AL teams where your pitchers bat. I could easily see them saying they couldn't get it in this years game. They could also feel like they don't want to add it to DD as a personal choice being against the DH, not saying they are against it, but there has to be a reason they chose no DH for DD in the first place.

I’m saying I would be surprised. No DH in 22 would be either an admission that they have coders who shouldn’t be working on a baseball game or that SDS has decided they are going to pick and choose which rules they want regardless of actual mlb rules (in which case mlb/mlbpa should drop them). They have known for months that the only way universal DH wasn’t going to be in baseball in 2022 was if there was no baseball in 2022. No excuses.

We will see. I am basing my guess entirely on thier attitude during 20 when DH was used in both leagues because of COVID, SDS seemed reluctant to include it and acted like it was some big deal. And how for some reason when you are using an AL pitcher in moments playing an AL team you still have to bat. I am not saying they won't or that I can't be wrong, just that I won't be surprised in 2 weeks when they say DH won't be in DD this year.

You keep saying inexcusable. But what if SDS doesn't want to add the DH. Like I said it's a fantasy mode, there was nothing at all stopping them from putting it in DD from the beginning, or having it in DD for the show 20 when MLB had it for a season.
Again I don't know what they are going to do, but I am prepared for them not to have it in DD this year, if ever.

Hahaha, exactly. It's like my buddy and I always arguing over baseball facts until smart phones came out. That ended the long arguments....just look it up, Tony Gwynn hit .394 in 1994, argument over.
This obviously we will have to wait a little while but we will have an answer. Of course, we may not get the reasoning behind the answer.
Personally, I enjoy the extra strategic challenge of pinch hitting, double switches etc. But having Papi, Ohtani, Frank Thomas or whomever in your lineup full time wouldn't be the worst thing either.

You are right, there is a chance they may keep the DH out and not even say why.
I think for DD no DH is a good thing, but that's just my opinion, I know a lot of people who are passionately against having pitchers bat, and that's cool, we are all allowed to disagree.

I would say depends on coding. If it’s an easy insert (since they already had it in before), it should be back for this year.
