Because it's different from what they play. Didn't you know that they are the only cool ones and anyone different is a dummy?
Cool it dude, you and I are not enemies if we play different modes. However, the offline experience has been neglected and ruined because of this Ultimate Team racket. So, to think that people who want a better offline experience aren't going to push back is unrealistic.
The truth of what's going on is that fools are falling for trickery. The more we can bring into the light the better chance these predatory tactics can be ended.

What it comes down to is SDS should give some attention to Franchise, I'm not asking them to reinvent the wheel here, Franchise as it stands isn't that bad...but just keep tweaking it year by year to to evolve it, make it more realistic, more engaging. So in the end both parties can be happy, the more skilled serious Franchise guys and the more pick up and play online DD casual guys.

Cool it dude, you and I are not enemies if we play different modes. However, the offline experience has been neglected and ruined because of this Ultimate Team racket. So, to think that people who want a better offline experience aren't going to push back is unrealistic.
The truth of what's going on is that fools are falling for trickery. The more we can bring into the light the better chance these predatory tactics can be ended.
Fair enough. I am 100% in agreement that Franchise deserves attention too. I get the frustration with DD as SDS has made it their sole focus. But it's unfair to lump anybody who plays DD into the dummy, sheep, bright Shiny object chasing category. I personally only play online when I have to for a mission or against a friend who I can enjoy a game against, otherwise, I love the Roster building, stat collecting and mission completing side of DD, I'm sure I'd dig Franchise.
I would actually like to try Franchise this year and would probably really enjoy it since it's my first time. But I can understand those who have played for years getting tired of the copy/paste approach and wishing for some upgrades.
So, you're right, let's call a cease fire, I'm not a hot head keyboard warrior. @joshjays44_PSN , no disrespect intended, sorry if I came off like that. I hope they address your wishes.
See MLB, normal people can solve differences rather easily.

To be clear, you're not a dummy if you play DD.
If you fall for the psychological trap these companies are setting or more so if you're putting your head in the sand despite knowing what's going on but can't resist because you need a dopamine fix ASAP, you're a dummy. They're using psychology against you to get you're money and they're doing it by creating nothing of value. It's not a fair exchange of value.
This is very true... for 2K Madden and Fifa. I think this is an weird idea you came up with in your mind that isn't true. You make it sound like DD is MyTeam and you have to spend thousands on packs to get a good team. But in reality just playing the game and doing TA and conquest and grinding and playing the game is what gets you DD cards. And don't think TA and conquest are super long and not worth it grinds. If you know what you're doing, it's really easy. There is no psychological trap in DD, this sounds like a weird conspiracy theory to me lol. But no hate in the end game, you're allowed to like what you like. But I think you're more thinking of MyTeam or MUT with the psychological deal.

I'm a hardcore Simulation player, I prolly make up less that 1% of the players of The Show. Meaning, I play on Legend hitting and pitching with pitch speeds maxed at 10 and Sliders that are finely tuned for hours and hours with the help of Slider makers from Operations Sports before I even consider doing Spring Training. You would cry to your mommy and not play the show again if you had to grind at those settings for a full spring training and a full regular season..so before you flap you DD lips understand that there are settings that far exceeds what you guys are use to with online play..meaning default pitch speeds at All Star settings, I don't mean to sound like a conceited D-bag but those are facts.
Um.....I would highly consider never showing this to another human being.

Yes, SDS is not as nefarious as EA or 2k, but I assure you this is no "conspiracy theory". This kind of tactic has been used forever. In fact it has probably forged civilizations. From governments to carnivals to corporations to school boards, creating fear and anxiety forces people to make decisions that benefit the party looking to make some gains.
As an example, you'll see countdown clocks throughout the DD season. The sole purpose of these clocks is to subconsciously create a sense of urgency. "Hurry up, times running out". Just like a car salesman who claims "this deal won't be here tomorrow". It's designed to force someone into a decision before they have time to think about it. It's a sales tactic, and against the uninitiated it works.

cheersThe funny thing is though, if SDS had kept up with the development of Franchise Mode, these arguments wouldn't exist because all the offliners would be busy playing the game.
P.S. if they haven't fixed some of the Legacy issues with Franchise, you'll probably get to a point in a season where you'll feel you just wasted a lot of time as the work-a-rounds can be too ludicrous and unrealistic to be worth it.

+1. It’s well documented that whilst not everybody chooses the easy way out (pay extra $), there is a market that will.
And the market that won’t will have to grind. Then there’s the psychological impact of that.
