I did not play 21 but from what I have heard Ted Williams and Ty Cobb were both not in the 21 version. Ive been playing the show long before DD was even a thing and this was the first time I have not seen Ted or Ty in the game. I'm sure there was an expiration of rights to use that happened. Howard not a big thing as he wasn't a great player. Most of his career was 3 types of an outcome.
I'm sure Ichiro wont be in the new version as he just recently retired. And apparently Jeter will be in the game. Big name player but not a god squad player light Johnson.
SDS lost the rights to those two players. Williams and Cobb
Yeah that is upsetting I would think they would have a list of players that are close to the rights expiring and rework an extention. Last year is the first I can remember since 2009 that Cobb was not a playable player in the game.

You’re right, he’ll be Chris Sale with outlier and a slider that is about 10 mph faster than Sale’s. I wonder if they give him a splitter which he threw as a change-up.

Didn't Larry Walker also pull some stunt like putting his helmet backwards or hitting from the right side in an ASG?
Also, this is a pretty rad way to kick off new legends. Howard will be a lot of fun, though I bet his vision will be slightly low. But I imagine him as a Jim Thome type and I really dug Thome's 96 and his 99 was solid too.
Randy Johnson has to be one of the most coveted cards in the game from what I've read on here. Can't wait to use him and see how he will available....a late inning boss, a program reward, what will he be?

Anyone remember Randy's incident with Kenny Lofton at The Jake a few years back?
Randy threw over Lofton's head and Kenny overreacted. Benches cleared and you can read Randy's lips which said: 'That was a stinking Slider!'
Things calmed down. Next pitch, a fastball over Lofton's head!
All heck broke loose! I have it on VHS somewhere! -

Yes but he wasn’t in this years game which leads me to believe they have lost his rights. I could be wrong but generally speaking when a legend doesn’t come back that usually means that they didn’t renew the players rights.

Sorry, i don't have memory of him beign in any of the years that I've played and I've been playing since 2016, i could be wrong though.
