Come on he’s not the worst. He certainly isn’t the best, but saying he was the worst is a gross exaggeration. I would say that he was average to slightly below average defensively.
Literally the worst defensive SS in history by a wide margin, statistically. But don’t worry, fully expect SDS to juice up his defense.

You’re basing this info off a single bulk stat that encompasses 20 years at one position. Jose Offerman was a far worse fielder than Jeter. The difference between him is the fact Offerman had a 9 year career and was moved to second and third base later because he was so awful.

The fact that he DIDN’T move, especially after 2003 when he was the second best SS ON HIS OWN TEAM pushes him lower. “Team Player” my a..!

I wouldn't mind seeing some of those other guys either believe me, but with their images all being somewhat "compromised" it seems like a long shot. And it isn't like SDS had a choice between either Jeter/A-Rod/Bonds/Randy Johnson for this year and decided on Jeter. Some guys are available and some aren't for whatever reasons.
The bottomed line is SDS doesn't care if Jeter makes anyone's God squad they only care about the truckloads of copies they're going to sell with his face on the cover.

Jeter was the captain of baseball's last true dynasty. In his long career, I can't remember him doing anything egregious or even slightly out of line. He's done tons of great community outreach including moments like these:
